I love this activity.

I look at it as an activity for my mentees

not for earning $$

but

to show their talent & creativity

(this class, omg, when I wrote their testimonial, I almost fainted...

So many talented ppl....head prefect, Taekwondo instructor, band player, Indian dance dancer, solo singing, arts, chinese c...., prefect prefect every where...president...secretary....treasurer...,

MAMA, MO GAO GAO AR...)

to work cooperatively

to plan and manage a project

most importantly, to bring them close together, as a class!!

Caring is loving"

I would love to foster this in them

so that when they leave the college

after 1 1/2 yr,

they have created strong bonding

that will bring them back together

to support each other

along the path

as brothers and sisters...

or...haha...who knows huh

Even though I have scolded them almost every day

last week

I hope I can give my best to them

to guide them not only in biology and exam

but also to share about live

I have to be strict as a teacher

(sometimes, really heartache

to see the incomplete work that they have done

as well as the need to scold them

and to discipline them)

Underwater Pictures from Sipadan

The turtle was not afraid of human as the visitors were mostly nature lover and they did not disturb them like in Redang...so the turtle would swim very slowly and ignore us..., going up for breath!

Kajang & Putrjaya Trip

This is the mosque at Putrajaya. What is impressive about Putrajaya is the unique design of the buildings, lamp poles along the street and the bridges. Even the traffic lights are also very artistic!!

I felt like I was suddenly in some other city like Sidney due to the buildings. Probably an image for our country. There were lots of tourist there.

I also love the huge lake that gave good amenity to that place. It is always very soothing and calming to gaze at the water, be it sea, huge lake or river

A Super Busy Week

Last week was the second wk of the new semester
But there were tonnes of things to clear
...reunion with 0301PM3 at IMU, visited my friends (in line), planned revision for students, cleared my table and the box of stuff...
...fetched my friend for doctor visits, marked class test, set trial exam, etc etc etc...
endless task..queing up...
Hardly have time for myself, to be with myself...

Then, scary things happened
after I visited my friend
who came back from USA for her maternity
Her brother...asked for my hp no.
and 'quacked' at me the next day....
demanding for my address & house phone no. immediately
asking me out....(with a stranger??)
aiyoyo...mamamiya....help....
a stranger...so demanding and so desperate...VERY SCARY AR...
he is intruding my peace for the day...my safety...
luckily I managed to reject every request....
sigh...but my heart was still beating very fast until
I couldn't sleep well that night

This week, scolded my mentees every day
As I was disappointed with the quality of work that they have submitted
(the practical drawings, the class test, the past years)
And those who submitted late...
But for them, its because Wolf lost my Ding Dong (hamster, I called her "Dancing Queen")
Told them I should have died being stung by the Jelly fish at Sipadan...
instead of coming back to teach them & to see my Ding Dong

Started to see my mentees one by one to review their progress this week
Got to know that they have very little time per day to study
Lessons are from 8am to 4pm every day
got back tired and rested
practically they only have 2 hrs per day to study
only enough for doing hw
and week ends to catch up with revision
That's the life of a March intake student
Pity them but they have to adjust to it as they have chosen to be in it

Then yesterday night, one mentee sms me:
"Thx 4 putting in effort 4 us. I'll try play less"
It's a short message, but it carries a lot of meaning
I felt the difficult situation that they are in
and my tears started to flow down...
"they need to do things to create meaning to their life
do they get the meaning out of studying?
I once again felt that life is meaningless
that's why people try to CREATE meaning out of life
but to me, these created things are all impermanent
subjected to decay
happiness will not stay forever
a sudden sense of detachment grow in my heart
and i suddenly felt blissful
Yes, up till today, after the meditation retreat 7 yrs ago,
I still feel that the highest happiness is not the worldly happiness
but the happiness of detachment.

Uzin, I want to go for my pilgrimage again end of this year
to be in touch with the heart
to be in touch with the basis of life
the dhamma

My Sipadan Trip 1

We have arrived at Sipadan Island!!

Omg, such beautiful view. Mabul island has very beautiful variety of corals!!

I love this place, all rooms above the sea...walking on the plank surrounded by the calm sea is so peaceful and calming!!

Not long nor short, as we meet up every day...

Then comes the cold...
Cough throught the night
sleepless nights...goodness
woke up like a ghost....haha
2 weeks already...better recover soon...for my trip

Then my major paper to w0rk on
Thank god that I have planned for the trip to Sipadan
which made me work extra hard to complete it before the trip

This Sipadan trip is a meaningful trip that I have looked forward to
Its a celebration of the completion of my master, my graduation...
Its a gift for my boy boy/ teddy/ lumpy
Its a reunion
Its a seafood feast - home cook? drunken prawn? yummy!! drunken chicken? yummy too!!

A fun loving company of 6 for that trip
such a nice sea view room...the sea is so blue and calm...beautiful sunrise!!

Its indeed an enjoyable and relaxing trip, with good companies.

This is a new semester. I have completed my master. My dragon kids are gone.
I welcome this new chapter of my life, with enthusiasm
As I can feel there will be a great change ahead
in my life
