T-Joue Fashion Shoot

I apologise for not updating. I just started my new job and my body is getting used to the new hours.

I did makeup for T-Joue's Sping/ Summer collection photoshoot yesterday.

Model: Irena M
Photographers: Mickey and Alvin
Hair: Wella
Makeup: Me!
Location: KC, boss of T-Joue's, house in Tropicana

Irena M has been the model for T-Joue for the past few years. Everyone loves her, as she's so friendly and easy to work with!

Not once did she complain, and she followed instructions to the T.

It was tiring. And stressful at times.
But I enjoyed every minute of it.
Compared to bridal makeup which is less enjoyable to me, but more lucrative of course. Sigh.

To more fashion shoots.

amatuerish autumn avant garde

Image

These are the curtains hanging in my living room. Low cost design and cloth.

Image

I drew out a simple pattern to depict the curtains. Leaf in two toned green, outlined with brown. Eyes in orange, gold and olive green. The drawn lines are all blurred with gold shadow, as are the eyebrows.

Image

I don't know how to photoshop, so you can see all the imperfections. All photos are taken with a Canon compact cam, and only this photo is tweaked using Windows Live Photo Gallery to enhance the greenish tint so you can see the tones on the leaf better.

Image

Everything looks beautiful in black & white.

Image

And sepia.

My cousin Sharon as model. =)

Everything was done in under half an hour, as I just suddenly jumped up and said "hey sharon, wanna be my makeup model?" So yes, I know it looks amateurish and simple.

I'll try to do better avant garde works next time. Its about time I stopped lazing around and did what my blog URL indicates. =p

Cebu: Touristy Locations

Other than the beaches, Cebu City, like any other city, has touristy locations for anyone to visit and see.

Image
City centre. Near the Saintoninio church.

Image
Inside the church grounds. Its a beautiful garden!

Image
Majellan's Cross. A monument to recognise Majellan for bringing in Christianity to the Phillipines.

Image
This is the only air conditioned church in Cebu. Thus, lotsa wedding are held here.

Image
If not, this Fort is also a popular wedding location. Due to the gorgeous garden of course.

Image
The only Taoist temple in Cebu.

Image
And Lapur Lapur's shrine. He was a hero for killing Majellan. Just cos he's a foreigner. Haha the irony.

Image
Ormena's Gallery. His face is on the 50 pesos note. =D

Image
Some souvenir shops. Cheap cheap shopping!

Image
Casa Gorordo. An ancetral house turned museum. My friend's grandma used to live there during World War II. Cool huh?

Image
Another ancestral home nearby Casa Gorordo.

Image
The oldest fire station in Cebu.

Image
The largest sculpture placed right smack in the middle of the road. Its supposed to represent the history of the Cebu across the multiple figurines.

Image
And lastly, Imperial Palace Hotel. A 7 star hotel opened by Koreans. It has a mini water park in it, and all the staff they hire are good looking! No shit.

A proper tour would only require two full days really. So a weekend getaway to Cebu is worth seeing, non? =)

Cebu: By the beach

I'm back from Cebu!! There are too many things to update, so I'll do a few blog posts on it. With as many pics as possible. Just so you won't get bored as I do when I read about travel journals. =p

So my original plan was to just bum by the beach and chill right?
EHHH!!! *buzzer sound*

Turns out Cebu City is 4 hours away from the touristy beaches. So I ended up hanging around the city more than anything else. With only one day by the beach.

Image

I told my friend, I don't mind going to any beach to chill. But she said most of their beaches were brown beaches. And dominated by drunkards/ drug users. =(

Image

Instead, we had to come to this white beach where we have to pay 100 pesos per person to enter. -_-

Talk about exploitation.

Image

I wore my bikini under my sundress, thinking I could just head there to swim and tan.
But it turns out the locals were the only ones that dominated this beach. So everyone wore shirts/ shorts over their swimmers. Sigh.

Image
There were oh so many people! All local.

Shy ol' me didn't dare to bare it all in front of the conversative crowd. And I didn't bring extra clothes! So on the shores I remained.

Image

I loved it though. It was a beautiful tranquil day.
I just stood at the shores and watched the sea pull all my worries away.

Image

Come home with me, sea.

Chilling by the beach is the only agenda I have so far. I'll let you know how that goess...

Have a great NY beginning ppl! Don't be too jealous of my impromptu hols. XD
