finally cut Seth's hair

Image
Look at all that hair. That is from Kaleb and Seth. Seth did not sit still for the cut at all. So it made it very difficult. the hair cut is not perfect but it is much better. But I just find my self staring at him because he looks so different.

ImageThanks for all the support from my family, through words of encouragement from my parents, and to those who were willing to come in and allow me to work on their mouths to meet my clinic requirements: Grandma, Jeremy, and Emily. As well as many friends too. Everyone in my class remembers my Grandma coming in, when she got up from the dental chair she said "I love this place!" Grandma was a great support, and willing to come in again if needed even though it was a long trek into Phoenix. I greatly appreciated everyone for there willingness to help me out, taking the time out of their day for me, and trust me I know it was a long part of their day.
So thanks!!!

May 2010, graduation pinning ceremony from Rio Salado College Dental Hygiene Program. What a relief! So glad to be done with that. That was a very challenging stressful 15 months of intense compacted schooling in my life. It feels like a great accomplishment. Now I get to enjoy a much needed break before starting the job search. Off to EUROPE!!! A place I have longed to visit for many years.

I am taking over this blog... ha ha!

The last month I've eaten a ton of junk. Lots of chocolate candy, icecream, cakes, cookies.

I felt the need to turn this pattern around and Saturday night I was really craving a spinach salad... with cranberries and raspberry vinaigrette dressing.... so, at 9pm I went to the grocery store and bought these things and made the perfect salad. it was exactly as i had hoped it'd be! it was so good I ate one sometimes even two everyday!!

Today in psio we learned about kidney stones. They passed around stones that were bigger than golf balls and had to be surgically removed from the bladder. They passed around stones that looked sharp.

Then they told us foods that cause kidney stones are foods high in oxalate then they gave a few examples, in this order:
spinach
cranberries
chocolate...

And then I didn't hear anything else they said because I was too busy mapping out the nearest drinking fountains.

Haha... but this class gets worse. Next week is the urine lab!! we have to drink a specific drink and then pee in a cup and analyze it right there in class with all of our friends!! yay!! that will be so much fun. not embarrasing or awkward at all!! And I thought the PV Clinic was bad.. making you carry your pee cup from the bathroom across the waiting room to the office, with everyone standing all around.

I laughed the first week of classes when I noticed this pecular sign over the sink. Guess what, I'm not laughing anymore!!! hahahaImage

February is Fun

Image

Started off this month by coming home to a mysterious valentine, followed by several other unsigned valentines being left on my car and at my front door. Today I came out of church and saw that my car had been plastered with hearts and had to drive home with them flapping in the wind, it was so embarrassing.

Friday, with Mom's encouragement, I decided to go to a little masquerade ball. I made a really awesome feather mask. The party was lame, but it was still fun to dress up!

Close up of my mask! :)

And college is hard now.
