Candy Bar Husband Birthday Bash

Image
Image
Mia Maids celebrated several birthdays by choosing from a basket full of wrapped candy bars who their future husband could be....some were not up to their standards and some were, however, we discovered that we can't judge a potential husband by what he appears to be on the outside because when the wrapper is peeled away, it's what is inside that really matters. Moral of the story....Don't pass judgement on others...but DO use good judgement...choose wisely for your future!

Chopped

We had four ingredients to use to make one dish. Cream Cheese, Red Pepper Flakes, Blueberries and Rice Krispies. It was amazing what good cooks the girls are!

Youth Leadership Retreat 09

The Leadership Retreat August 28-29 Gibson's cabin
ImageThe Priest and Laurel class were assigned to plan and carryout a service project.
Sand, repair, and stain a large 2-car garage door and trim.
They had to decide, what equipment and supplies and other resources they would need to complete the project.
It was a learning experience for all, they could of used a few more paint brushes, but over all they did a wonderful job.
ImageSanding the trim.
ImageThe Teachers and Mia Maids were to clear the side of this hill.
They also had to decide what equipment was need and they found that if they had had a weed whacker the job would of gone a lot faster, but they did a fabulous job.
ImageThey were all smiles, the whole time.
Image
ImageThe Beehives and Deacons were to remove branches and dead wood from the cabin property.
They had to decide what supplies and equipment was need to fulfill this assignment.
They worked hard and really cleaned up around the cabin.
