Excellent device for cutting foam.
First, I want to mention that I received this product for evaluation. I planned to use the DOINOW 6 in 1 Cordless Hot Wire Foam Cutter Kit for cutting foam. I expect that it is well manufactured, easy to use, and works. This product has met all of my expectations, and the quality is great. This is the first time that I have tried a foam cutter, and I am amazed! This is the type of product that you ask yourself: "why didn't I purchase this before?" The product includes the power handle, which needs to be charged with the enclosed USB cable, instructions, three blade wands and wire. The instructions are easy to follow and to the point. The wands are easy to place on the handle but there is a little resistance, so you need to apply a little force. One wand is intended to make through-holes, another wand is U shaped and is intended to make pocket holes. The third wand is the one used to cut large areas of foam. This last wand needs the wire for working. The process of assembling the wire on this wand is simple. I included a video of the process of assembling the wire and using all the wands on a foam block. Please, excuse the quality of the cuts that I made in the video; this was my first time using this type of product. However, you can see how easy it is to cut foam with this device. When the handle is turned on, a light turns on, which is a great way to tell you that the item is being powered and be careful to avoid burns. After 5-10 seconds the wand is ready to cut the foam. In the past, I used an electric kitchen knife to cut foam blocks and the process is very messy and takes longer than this product.

    This really works as stated. I needed to cut round holes in styrofoam coolers for my hydro gardening project. I was then able to drop plastic cups into them with small cuts in bottom of cup. This was such a quick solutions to making the holes. The styrofoam was thick and it still worked.

    this thing works for a couple minutes - cuts slow. this is only for small projects, NOT FOR BIGGER CUTTING PROJECTS. after cutting a minute it cooler down and you have to wait until its heated up again. and then another cutting it is already empty and needs to be charged. i was cutting think 2 inch foam

    I used this set to carve styrofoam blocks and foundation pieces for my Harry Potter village. The wires get gummy very quickly, even though I used steel wool to clean them after every use. The u-shaped wire quit working after a month of use.
