Y’ALL- I’ve been wanting to hop on board the satin slip dress train for a while, but I’ve been nervous to pull the trigger because it’s hard to tell on the internet if the satin is decent quality, and because I’m curvy and self conscious about my tummy.

Let me tell you, one pair of spanx and this dress later I felt like a freakin bombshell, which is amazing because I currently have the lowest body confidence I’ve had in years. Husband was drooling.

Fabric- this satin is pretty thick and a little stretchy, which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely not see through, and I was able to comfortably sit through a three hour opera. Has a very nice shine, but definitely does not look cheap. The stitching is well done and the straps are STURDY. The zipper should probably be a little more heavy duty, and there is no hook and eye, so I will be adding one in future to help get the zipper up. Once it was zip everything was great, but the satin is slippery so I had to have my husband do the actual zipping while I helped hold the sides together. But for $30? Don’t even care.

Fit- this dress went about 3” below my knees while standing, and sat just above my knees when sitting. The waist is very fitted, but the hips allow a lot of space. It was wild, it looked tailored right of the packaging. The bust area fit really well, and the fabric is sturdy enough that I was able to comfortably wear this dress without a bra. The ladies were supported, not squished, and I wasn’t worried about the nips. The slit is towards the back of the dress, which I didn’t realize looking at the pictures, but I actually really like it! It’s just behind my left leg, and when sitting, you might not notice there’s a slit at all.

Note- not sure how this dress would fit on a slimmer body type, because I don’t have one- the neckline would probably slouch in a really pretty way on a smaller chest like in the pics, but the hips might bag, it’s hard for me to tell.

Just purchased in the rust color as well, this is going to be my go to wedding guest outfit this summer! It rides the perfect line between casual and formal. I cannot believe I got this stunner for such a great price. Buy it!

I was happily surprised by the quality of this blue dress!! It is nice and thick and not see through at all. It folds back over at the top for a double layer in the chest area which is nice because I don’t think I’ll need to wear pasties, thank God. It is super comfy and silky smooth. The slit isn’t as high as I thought it would be but I don’t know if that just because I have a long torso or if it differs from dress to dress. I’m 125 lbs and a 34 D/DD and I ordered the medium and it fit perfectly. The armpit area does a weird bulgy thing when my arms are up but once I put them back down it’s fine. There’s also a weird bulge down near my hip at the bottom of the zipper but it’s manageable. Really happy with this dress!!

The brown one, however, was super thin fabric. It was a non-slit one, silky smooth but the chest area was super thin and I would have definitely needed to wear pasties. I ordered a small for this one and it fit perfect. It was flattering but overall much cheaper of a dress and I felt like I could make the blue one rock more. I returned the brown one and kept the blue.

This is a good dress for the money--so comfy! As someone who sews and notices construction details, I'm not crazy about the self binding and the top stitching round the back and on the straps. Top stitching is for casual clothing. The hem looks pretty good but it's not the handkerchief super narrow hem you'd get on a real silk dress, along with the fishtail hem look. That being said, looking at the dress as a whole, it's a very cute and would serve a variety of uses. I'll be wearing it for dinner on a cruise. The dress fits beautifully and skims over the body and the beautiful leopard print will hide body imperfections. The fabric doesn't look cheap and closely resembles silk, although of a lighter weight. I'm 5'4" and 112 lbs and wear a size 2-4. The XS is perfect. I can see what some reviewers said about the cowl neckline being bothersome, so I'm going to wear a long chain necklace to keep it sort of in place, I think. Not a deal breaker. I should mention that this dress has more of a pencil shape so I wouldn't recommend it for dancing because it's pretty narrow at the bottom and there's no slit. Forget taking a full stride! Careful ironing will make the most of this dress.

As someone who’s 5’4” 130lb 32DD with athletic body type, I’ll start by saying I don't expect most things to fit super well. I was looking for an affordable dress for an upcoming wedding (dressy casual), so this looked like it had potential, but I had low expectations.

I actually liked the material of the dress. It’s definitely not silk, but the rich, emerald green color and shine tricks the eye and makes the dress appear way fancier than its price tag. I have an inverted triangle shape body (broad shoulders), but the fit of the dress was flattering overall from the front. I actually didn’t really have any weirdness in the hip area as others have described.

That’s where the positives stop. If you zoom in on specific parts of the dress, you’ll see weird fit. The “drape” across the top just didn’t work on me. I did get an S, and I think a medium would’ve just looked like a bag on me. Also, I do have a shorter torso, but the back waist kept bunching up no matter what I did (see picture). Other slip dresses I’ve tried (anthro, regular non-petite sizes) did not have the same problem, making me think this is a build problem, not just my body type. Also, the dress I received didn’t have a slit on the side even though the order is for a “midi slit” dress.

Overall, for the cost, this dress is quite good. However, any tailoring costs to fix the weird bunching issues would cost more than the dress itself which is why I decided to return it. For those who are taller (maybe 5’6”+ or with a longer torso), I’d recommend it if you’re in a bind and need a dress asap.

I purchased the green dress. I had hoped it would be a green/blue color as other mentioned but it was emerald green as it is pictured. That was not the deal breaker. I followed the size chart. I never know if i should get the xs or small and usually fret about that with every order. I sometimes order both sizes and return one. I'm 58 so I had my concerns with fit and spaghetti straps going into this. Anyway I felt the xsmall was too snug. If I was younger, I would have loved the dress. It definitely stretched and fit but I wouldn't wear it. I thought about switching it to a larger size for more room and to perhaps get it to hang a little but I wasn't in love with the color once I had it on me. The only other color I liked was black and I have so many black dresses already. So I didn't size up. And I'm not sure if I would have went up to a small or medium to get it to be looser. I have a small chest and I would have been concerned about the top getting to large. PROS: great price, stretchy material, ease to get in with the zipper (huge plus), thick material so it is NOT see through, slit is totally appropriate in length, length was great for a 5'4" person. Con: material is heavy-ish which is good and bad. Good since not see through but it may not breath well.

I'm 5'3 and about 132 lb. I got the small. The material is very lux. The adjustable straps allow for a great fit.

The spandex gives it a stretch that makes us a very comfortable dress. I'm ordering other colors

Well as shown in my picture you will not get the color pictured on amazon! Ordered xs and small same color but obviously not. The pink in the picture that matched the amazon picture was an xs and did not fit the small did but was not the color pictured also bunched in one of the seams down the back and could not be steamed out. Also im 5’3” and the dresses were too long for my height it seemed.

Dress it cute, thick material-not see-through. The stitching is off, the dress feels croaked so I’m sure I’ll be adjusting it often. Also the top has some room under my arm where the zipper is, a safety pin or double sided tape will remedy that. All in all this is a cute dress. Got it in black w/ split. I’m 5’4” 160-ish lbs 36C and 44in hips- I got a medium, it’s a snug but comfy fit.

El vestido es muy bonito y la talla esta bien, aunque para el precio se esperaría que la tela fuera de mejor calidad ya que es muy delgada y los dobleces se quedan marcados.

El vestido tiene buena tela. Se me hizo un poco caro el precio para el vestido ya que es corto y equis, pero es bonito para una boda o fiesta. Es super comodo y la tela quasi no se siente, y no es transparente. Lo recomiendo para un vestido ligero a buen precio (ya que los vestidos largos cuestan mucho más).

Oh my goodness where do I start?! I never write reviews however I ordered this dress early in the morning and it came this evening (I have a wedding to attend to tomorrow) and the QUALITY & COLOUR !!!!! Honestly shocked me for an Amazon dress and then I put it on and it is fitted but thick material and stretchyyyy. It is so comfy. I am a new time mom as well (5’4 - 150-155 pounds for reference) and you can ruche the dress to hid any belly pooch. I tried it on with biker shorts underneath and it smoothed out everything super nicely and didn’t show any of the lines from the shorts on the outside. The ONLY thing that could be better is where the zipper is on the top left side of the dress, the fabric is a bit looser around that area compared to the opposite side that is fitted and doesn’t poke out. Such a minor flaw though.

I am super happy with this purchase and will be getting it it another colour for sure!

Lo usé para una sesión de fotos, me quedó bastante bien y por el precio, me pareció que valía la pena. El color es tal cual aparece en la foto. El único detalle es que la abertura de la pierna, es bastante más abajo que lo que se ve en la foto... pero parece fácil mandarlo a arreglar.
