  • The viscosity is 15,000 cps. The formula is intentionally thick to help the silicone cling better to the object’s surface.

  • The hardness is 15A. It’s not recommended for making detailed complex 3D molds, as the flexibility may not be sufficient for easy demolding.

  • Since the silicone is quite thick, bubbles are hard to eliminate after mixing. To reduce bubbles, apply a thin first layer and allow it to cure. This helps the silicone fully bond to the object’s surface, minimizing trapped air.

  • You can replicate objects up to 5.7 inches in diameter.

  • Do not use parchment paper as a base — the cured silicone will stick to it. Keep your mixing time under 2 minutes.

    Absolutely brilliant to use, I buy so many moulds but couldn't find what I really wanted, I've made my own figures and used this to make my own moulds, saved me a fortune and have exactly what I wanted

    This brush-on silicone is great, use by weight and paint it on the mold you want to use and it dries very quickly usually 2 or three coats, you also get two silicone brushes with it, this will be my silicone go to from now on, very easy to use and mixes well, with brushing it onto your mold your not using as much silicone, just use a piece of acetate to stick the item you want to make a mold from and you cand make your mold as thick or thin as you like.

    brush on mould making silicone, 1:1 ratio

    This ‘brush on’ silicone rubber mould maker is very similar to a regular silicone that I’ve used before to create silicone moulds. It is possibly a little thicker but is still runny and you need to keep control of it whist working. I found it easy to use, it’s a 1:1 ratio mix so really easy to measure out. I would recommend using scales that can measure small increments if you are mixing smaller amounts and as this stuff needs to be applied in multiple coats you will need to mix up multiple batches. It does take longer but it also means you apply less silicone and the resulting mould is thinner and that can be an advantage for certain shapes, especially if they are intricate, as de-moulding is easier and there is less risk of breakage. It does cure pretty quickly but I think room temp and humidity probably affect this. Overall a pretty decent product and reasonably good quality.
