We have quite a cheap induction hob that can be picky about which pans it decides to heat. After getting a new induction-friendly mokka pot, I was disappointed to find that the hob didn't even register it was there– apparently something to do with the hob's minimum size requirement.

This solves that problem. It heats the mokka pot quickly and evenly, has a nice, solid handle that remains cool throughout, and overall feels very well made.

It is slightly more expensive than some of the unbranded alternatives, but I think it's worth paying the extra for this. It has one function that solves a very specific problem, and it does it brilliantly.

Discolours quickly, but works perfectly. I've used mine non-stop for about a week and haven't noticed the metal laminates warping or splitting. Would recommend!

It survived being rammed through the letterbox (despite being at home) so it's hard wearing. Works well

Simple plate for the Bialetti espresso pot. Works well on the induction hob. Transfers heat quickly so care required. Note some users complain it can mark the hob glass surface but we use an induction hob mat for this and our pans which protects the surface perfectly (see Lakeland and others on Amazon).

Perfect for an induction hob. The plate is larger than the Moka pot and so covers more of the hot plate. It warms up and heats the pot. Without it, the hot plate can switch off. Am pleased with my purchase

The Bialetti heat diffuser works great. I thought it might take longer to get the pot up to temp but it transfers the heat really well on an induction cook top. It’s also much cheaper to buy the diffuser than an entire pot that is induction compatible.

A word of caution, make sure they sent you the correct item. The first diffuser that arrived was not a Bialetti but a no name generic version of really poor quality. I requested a replacement and Amazon took care of it and sent me the real Bialetti I ordered. It worked out ok in the end but it was frustrating to have to deal with the return.
