rhetorician3 out of 5 stars高校生の読書に最適
Reviewed in Japan on 3 January 2015

Jason J5 out of 5 starsamazing classic
Reviewed in the United States on 9 October 2025This is a classic collection that still holds up. The stories are just the right balance of spooky and fun, making them perfect for elementary school kids who want a little scare without it being overwhelming.
The illustrations add a lot to the atmosphere, and the short story format makes it easy for kids to read on their own or for parents to share a few tales at bedtime. It’s a great way to introduce younger readers to scary stories without pushing them too far.
Timeless, engaging, and age-appropriate—a perfect starter for kids who like a little chill in their reading.
