    Easy setup and use - nice design. The trap works very well; it immediately caught a couple of opossums. However, I bought it mainly to catch rabbits- I have tons of them. However, no matter what bait I used, the trap never caught a single bunny. They seem to be very afraid to go in even when we got over a foot of snow and all their potential food was covered with snow.

    This small animal trap has a simple effective design that traps animals safely, without harm to animals or humans, and allows them to be relocated to a more suitable location.

    My garden has become the Golden Corral for the neighborhood rabbits. They've decimated my hostas and other plants. I want them gone, not hurt. This trap accomplishes that.

    The trap ships flat so it will store well. It is mostly pre-assembled. It pops up and the only pieces you need to install are the trip arm and a rod to secure the back door. The included instructions are easy to follow.

    Here's a few tips for success:

    Avoid human scent by wearing gloves.

    Cover the bottom with ground cover similar to the surrounding area.

    Use appropriate bait for the critter you want to attract.

    Set the trigger mechanism so it trips at the slightest touch.

    I cut two pieces of cardboard (6.5" x 13.5" & 6.5" x 9") to place on the bottom of the cage in front and behind the trigger plate. I placed a piece of construction paper on the trigger plate, then sprinkled ground cover across the entire floor.

    For rabbits, I baited the cage with shavings of apple, carrots, and some fresh leafy greens. The bait was placed behind the trigger flap near the back door so the rabbits will need to step past the trigger plate. Then a trail of bird seed was sprinkled from the front of the cage leading to the back where the bait is.

    Setting the trap to a "hare" trigger was key. This is done by making sure the hook on the trip arm is just barley hooked on to the plastic tube surrounding the wire cage (see photos). The plastic tube surrounding the wire is designed to roll off the hook when the critter steps on the trigger plate. When I first set the trap, I had the hook all the way on the plastic tube and rabbits were able to enter, consume the smorgasbord, and exit without tripping the spring-loaded door. A little fine tuning and I caught three rabbits in the first 24 hours.

    They were released about five miles away in a field, across the river from our home in a prairie type forest preserve, with plenty of tall grasses, flowers, and trees so they should do just fine over there and away from my garden.     I bought this to catch a little kitten that I knew needed to be off the streets. The set up was super easy and very simple to use. The minute I heard the loud closing of the trap snapping, I knew that the kitten was going to be safe in a new home instead of in the wild where any cat doesn't belong. The material of the trap is metal which makes it strong for most animals. Very happy purchase - we love our new baby.

    It's easy to assemble and the cost was good. The cage worked. I was trying to catch a feral cat but I ended up catching pigeons and a racoon or two. I did resort to other means to catch the cat and he is not somewhat tamed. The cage was somewhat on the small side but all parts were included and it worked well. No complaints.
