How long does it take for probiotics to work?

Everyone is an individual, depending on how depleted your microbiome is when you start taking your probiotic. It can take a few weeks to a few months to see improvement in your symptoms. We recommend consistency for around 6-9 months to see results.

What is the difference between prebiotics and probiotics?

Probiotics - These are live bacteria found in certain foods or supplements.

Prebiotics - These substances come from types of carbs (mostly fibre). Gut Love contains two prebiotics, Slippery Elm and Baobab fruit.

How they work together – Probiotics are the good bacteria and prebiotics are the good bacteria’s food source to help them multiple.

Are probiotics good for IBS?

Probiotics are good for IBS, they can improve gut motility, stool consistency, frequency and transit time. They can also alleviate bloating, abdominal cramping, nausea, constipation and diarrhoea which are all common symptoms of IBS.

Great for travel
This tin of prebiotics is a great idea as you should take them with food but I'm not always eating at home. The tin has a screw top lid and is made from metal so it can easily be stored safely in your bag. Easy to refill and comes with a weeks worth of tablets. Very happy with this product.

    I've tried a few standard probiotics from other companies and saw either inconsistent or ineffective results, but I can confidently say that this is the only one that has ever worked for me. It has worked so well that I don't see myself needing myself to get it again. They were easy to swallow despite their average size. Though one of the capsules had split, and the inside had covered the rest of the pills, it was easy to brush off and it didn't affect the integrity of the others. Definitely worth the money.

    **Warning: Bowel related discussion/symptoms below**

    My problem used to be that I had bowel movements immediately after eating which was generally unpleasant and worrying. But after no more than two days of starting this that problem stopped altogether. I will say that I did not need to take two a day as the dosage suggests after the initial week as it was quite strong - one a day was just fine. It did cause less frequent movements but I would not say it was constipation. Nearly two months coming off it and I'm still just fine.

    Unfortunately, Gut Love wasn’t a positive experience for me. After taking it for several weeks, I experienced significant stomach discomfort, painful bloating, and intense wind pains that left me feeling worse rather than better. While it may work for others, it didn’t suit my digestive system and I have stopped taking it as a result.

    Or, if you’d like something a little stronger:

    Sadly, this product did not agree with me at all. After a few weeks of use, I developed persistent stomach pain, severe trapped wind, and uncomfortable bloating. The digestive discomfort outweighed any potential benefits, and I had to stop taking it. Disappointing experience.

Directions:
