Skin1004's Madagascar Centella Ampoule is one of my all time favorite skincare products. It's so simple yet so effective, essentially just a mix of water, hydrating glycerin, and soothing, calming centella asiatica extract.

I use this first after washing my face, just dripping it directly onto my skin, patting it in slightly, and letting it soak in before moving on to my next step. The difference for me is immediate; I can literally see the redness and skin inflammation disappear from my face as this soaks in. I didn't believe that anything could get rid of my redness and skin irritation, but this does.

For the past month, I use this twice a day and really drench my face with it, and the large bottle is still over 2/3 full, so it's a great value for me.

I love the light, watery consistency and non-sticky, non-greasy texture. It feels like wearing nothing, yet it helps me so much.

I highly recommend trying this essence. It definitely deserves all the hype that it gets.

The absolute best feature regarding the usefulness of this serum is that it is incredibly lightweight and absorbs almost instantly, meaning it never feels heavy or greasy under my other products. After incorporating it into my daily routine, my face’s skin feels awesome—it’s noticeably more supple, calm, and hydrated throughout the entire day. The consistency is perfect for layering, and it feels like a really high-quality, pure addition to my bathroom counter that genuinely delivers on that refreshing, healthy glow I was looking for.

The only real drawback to consider is that because the formula is so lightweight and watery, it can be slightly tricky to dispense exactly the right amount without it running off your fingertips. The dropper is functional, but you have to be quick and deliberate about applying it to your skin before it drips away, which can be a little annoying if you are rushing during your morning routine. It is a wonderfully effective, soothing product, but it definitely requires a bit of practice to master the application so you don't end up wasting any of the serum.

I received this ampoule yesterday and I'm already leaving a 5 star review after 2 uses because it just worked so well. I bought it because I've recently incorporated the Timeless 20% Vitamin C into my routine and that + my tretinoin made my skin drier than I've ever felt it before, even gently swiping a cotton pad with micellar would sting on some parts of my face. As soon as this ampoule arrived I applied it to clean skin and layered squalane on top (my moisturizer was burning as well.) This product did not sting my face AT ALL. It instead felt immediately soothing and hydrating. When I woke up this morning almost all of my redness was gone, my skin didn't feel tight or irritated, and my skin tone looked so even and glowy. I never thought a product, especially such a simply formulated one, could heal my barrier so quickly but that's exactly what it did and I can already tell it's a repeat buy. If you have redness prone sensitive skin and/or you use several high strength actives, this ampoule is a must have and it might be the key for anyone struggling to tolerate high strength retinoids. I got the largest size bottle for $15 on sale and it's seriously one of the most affordable and effective skincare products I've ever had in my routine.

I bought this serum after searching a perfect serum for my current skin redness I experience. My skin redness was dry and itching sometimes, this serum helped it soothed. The texture is watery, you don't need much just on pump and it'll give you excess and I always appky it to my neck. Since it's watery you can feel it absorbed to your skin almost immediately. It doesn't give me any bad reaction when I first tried it. No strong chemical smell. I also notice my skin redness is looking more pinkish and not so inflamed anymore.

Really moisturizing, and calming, it calmed my redness in like 3 days. Theres no fragrance and its very effective. Worth it

I’ve been using for a little over a month now. I will say I still have so so so much of it and that’s great for me. The quantity is perfectly priced. I don’t find it to break me out with acne sensitive skin( another way to say acne prone) so not greasy not drying… very water like consistency. So be careful when applying. Perfect with layering. I usually use this first after washing my face.

No matter what skin type you are, you should have this in your lineup. I have larger pores - so sebaceous filaments & clogging. On top of the oiliness of my skin, I have more oily hair as well. But, I get dry patches like crazy. So it’s not easy to find products that meet all of my needs or are universal - it’s usually an “either or” situation. & I end up buying things for my drier days as well as products for my oily days instead of just one set of products. This is one that work well no matter what. There’s more than you’d expect based on the photos - the bottle is bigger. A little goes a long way. It’s very gentle. Great for barrier repair. Great for redness/irritation. A little goes a long way, but it can also be used more than once without being overwhelming. It’s great as a base for other serums/moisturizers, morning or night. It feels really good - clean & light (but not “light” as in ineffective, it still pulls its weight). Must have for anyone looking for trendy Korean glass-skin skincare - she’s one that will get you there without needing to invest in random “viral” products.
