Your days of meeting your new bundle of joy are drawing near, and you are busy nesting, trying to get everything ready for baby. You should also be getting things ready for yourself, thinking ahead to those early postpartum days especially. These gel pads were a huge help for me in those first days and even stretching out to the first couple of weeks. They will bring relief to your sore nipples, helping you feel much better and allow you to focus on the most important tasks at hand: caring for yourself and your baby.

I have used these in the early days of nursing both my children, and they helped bring relief each time I was done nursing. These pads are super easy to use. You simply place them in your bra when you are finished nursing: that's it!

If you'd like, you can set them in the fridge for a more cooling effect or place a bag of ice over them while you're nursing like I did in the hospital. There is a tray you should set them on each time you are feeding baby because an important part of using these is keeping them clean.

I love that there is really no maintenance other than that (because what new mom has time for much of anything else!), but you can clean them with a little water if need be.

The instructions say a pair of these can be used up to 72 hours, but I only liked using mine for about 48 hours before switching them out as they do tend to pick up lint/hair from being in close contact with your clothing and skin. So you definitely want at least a couple pairs stocked in your hospital bag, and then if you need more you can send your significant other to the store for another pair. These would be a wonderful shower gift paired with some Lansinoh Breastfeeding Salve.

I purchased this on a whim one day desperate for something to ease the discomfort in those early days of combo-feeding and pumping. These were a lifesaver at the time. Pack contains 2 sets of large gel pads. Pop the pads in the fridge for extra cooling relief. The gels is soft and cool - no more nipples rubbing on the inside of your bra or sticky cream left on your bra! When I used the pads, I did not have any issues with them leaving sticky residue. The stick somewhat - just enough to help them stay in place. The pads worked well for me for the full 72 hours. They absorb a bit of leaking but probably not a ton.

I would definitely recommend giving these a try!

This was THE BEST PRODUCT I purchased for having my first baby.

My newborn has been breastfeeding like a champ from day one. She latched right away and breastfeeding has been going surprisingly well. Since breastfeeding was going so well, the nurses didn't bring me lanolin cream until after 2 days. By this time my nipples were so cracked, dry, and sore that it had started to get painful when my baby latched. I started using the lanolin right away and it helped, but the damage had already been done and was healing super slowly (or at least it felt that way because it hurt so much!).

On the day that I left the hospital my milk had come in and I experienced engorgement on top of the cracked nipples, I was in so much pain. My nurse mentioned these soothies as a way to get some comfort, so I ordered them right away with next day shipping.

These saved me for the next 72 hours! I put them in the fridge (highly recommend this!) and wore them between feedings about 2 or 3 times each day. By the third day my cracked nipples had healed (not sure if that was a result of the soothies, or just a combination of the lanolin and time), and I was no longer experiencing pain.

The only con is that you have to wash your breasts off after wearing these before breastfeeding your baby, which is a minor inconvenience but worth it for the relief.

This is a great gift for baby showers and all new moms. I wish I had bought these earlier and packed them in my hospital bag (along with Lansinoh Lanolin!)

Great cooling pads for nursing moms. They stick well, but by the 3rd day they lose their stickiness. They really helped me at the beginning of my nursing journey, helped my cracked, sore nipples recover. I just wish they had a bigger pack!

Worked well to soothe nips especially when chilled while being an exclusive pumper (I am sure that it would also be comfy for breastfeeding moms) I only gave 4 stars because it can be very easy to get a yeast infection on your nips and if you don't wash these frequently, these will delay getting rid of the yeast as the yeast can stick to these and just keep growing on your nips.

I am so very thankful for these products. I have been nursing going on 3 years now and these are a true lifesaver. Put them in the fridge, keep the little plastic thingy it sticks to, and you can use it again and again. My son bit me while nursing.. and it was so irritated and painful.. I lathered in the lansinoh organic nipple cream and put this on top of it and let that marinate and it saved me it healed it up fast. These are also really wonderful for a new nursing mother because when you first start nursing your nips can feel like they’re bruised, and these make that ache go away quick. Just keep putting them back in the fridge to cool it down again, and reuse them when in need. I recommend this product to all nursing mothers. Not necessary to throw them out after using them one time.. they are extremely sticky they will last- just keep putting them in the fridge and save the plastic piece it comes with to keep it clean. A huge must! Great gift for breastfeeding mommas or even yourself these really help with cracking or blistering. Easy to use a good size to fit on anybody. Really helps cool and ease pain after breastfeeding and being chapped or raw. Saved my breastfeeding experience. They are thick with the cooling gel but can’t be seen through bra so are wearable out.  

I used these with my last child and LOVED them...so wanted to order some more for my next baby, due any day! They are excellent at relieving any nipple pain

associated with breast feeding! I HIGHLY recommend it item!!! However I want to bring to your attention that this seller (Prime Medical) does not seem to put the consumer first.

First off, the picture that represents the item is completely wrong. There are not 36 individually wrapped pads. You get only 2 (I know the description says 2) but just be aware of the difference when you place your order. When contacted about this, Prime Medical took no responsibility for the difference in item represented. :(

Second, although they state Free Shipping on the actual item page...if you live in Alaska or Hawaii, they are misleading their actual price of shipping. Yes, I should have caught this on my check out page...however I was placing a large order and missed their individual shipping price. I took their word for it and as stated on the actual item page it says Free Shipping, so I didn't check that closely upon checking out. I would recommend going to their seller page and reading the fine print of their S/H policies. I get it, it is my fault for missing the increase in shipping costs. However, a company should stand by their word and honor their initial claim of free shipping...don't you think?

Lastly, upon contacting them with the misunderstanding, they were not helpful at all. To their credit, they did reimburse me about $15 of the $25 shipping rate they charged me. Yep you read that right...they initially charged me $25 to ship a 4oz box. Now they have knocked it down to $10 shipping for a 4 oz box, which is still absurd, and to top it off, they were quite rude on the phone with me. To Amazon's credit, they cannot control all of their sellers, and I will continue to shop with Amazon (LOVE THEM!), but will never again purchase from Prime Medical. Buyer Beware...purchase from Prime Medical at your own caution!!

It worked for a maximum of 10 times. The adhesive is not long lasting at all. The product does not seem to have a cooling effect unless you put it in the fridge and even then the effect lasts for just a few seconds before it feels like having nothing on. Didn't like it one bit.

In place I bought the silverette which changed the game when it came to healing post every feed.

The pads are a bit expensive and only last for around 72 hours, but after an initial week of difficult breast feeding, cracked nipples and agonising soreness it was worth every penny to get the immediate relief they provided. After the 72 hours my nipples have pretty much returned to their previous state before I started breast feeding, but I’ve bought another set just in case this happens again.
