The most boring Assassin's Creed game I've played so far, and I'm playing them in chronological order. At times it felt visually claustrophobic when moving around in missions. The story is dull and doesn't have any memorable characters. Connor's cameo was the only decent part.

Excellent piece of art for its time. It set a new standard for shooters in 1998 and you can still feel why: the environmental storytelling, the pacing, the way it never pulls you out of Gordon's perspective. Playing it for the first time in 2026 the age shows, but that's expected.

One thing that I didn't like is the character movement, which felt like Gordon had no balance at all as he kept sliding off while picking duels with aliens, which is quite ironic. That made the platforming levels a bit difficult to play.

Regardless, give it a try if you want to witness the evolution of shooter games, or if you just want to get into the lore you could play Black Mesa, which I've heard is a remake.

The narration in this game is incredible and emotional, the music, animation, and pacing are perfect. Honestly, the best Telltale style game I’ve played so far. I played through the Invisigal route and would definitely do a second playthrough with Blonde Blazer.
