Since late 2018, we have been running our own charity Shop in Alloa. We are ecstatic to be able to say that the project has been a great success and has allowed us to move the shop to High Street after the initial 6-month pilot phase!
Here at the shop, we are gifted a vast variety of items, such as clothing, household utensils, toys and books, from the community which allow us to sell them at an affordable price and thus raise additional funds for the services we at Home-Start Clackmannanshire provide for our local community.
If you have any questions or are looking to donate to the shop yourself, you can contact us via phone, email, or come by the shop in person.
An important function our charity shop has is the training and development of the skills and career prospects of local volunteers. We train our volunteers who work with us in the shop and help them develop their confidence and communications skills, as well as gain work experience.
If you are interested in volunteering at our shop, you can email us, call us or chat to us in person at the shop.
We are delighted that our free resource to families via Social Work, Action for Children, Health Visitors, and CAB etc is going so well. Support is provided to families via a referral pathway to gift children and adults clothing as well as household items.
Please contact the Shop directly for further information.
