Elementary Classroom Management and Responding to Undesirable Behaviors
This two-day workshop will focus on minimizing behaviors in the elementary classroom setting. Day one will center around proactive strategies: classroom management, routines, procedures, positive behavior interventions and supports, using reinforcement and physical environment. Teachers will be guided through establishing daily routines and procedures for their own classroom. Day two will focus on decreasing and responding to undesirable behaviors. Teachers will learn strategies for proactively decreasing undesirable behaviors, how to respond to behaviors in the moment, and how to protect teacher/student relationships after behaviors have occurred. This workshop is intended for anyone who works with elementary students. Registration and a light breakfast will begin at 8:30.Lunch and parking are included.
