Be the Voice of Food in Your Region
Edible is the most trusted name in local food media in North America. For more than 20 years, independently owned Edible magazines have been the publication of record for local food culture — connecting farmers, chefs, producers, and passionate eaters in communities..
We’re looking for our next generation of publishers: entrepreneurs, culinary community connectors, and business-minded individuals who want to build something meaningful — and profitable — in their region.
A Proven Business Model in a Growing Market
Consumer demand for local, sustainable, and responsibly produced food has never been stronger. Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a franchise?
Edible Communities operates as a licensing model, not a traditional franchise. You own your business outright and have full creative and operational control within the parameters of our brand standards. 100% of local advertising revenue is yours.
Do I need publishing experience?
No. The majority of our publishers came from outside the publishing industry. What matters most is community presence, business acumen, and genuine passion for local food culture. Our onboarding and support systems are designed to get you operational regardless of your background.
What markets are available?
We evaluate new territories on an ongoing basis and can discuss available and emerging markets confidentially. Reach out to begin that conversation.
Can this be a co-publishing arrangement?
Yes. Several of our titles are co-owned and co-operated. If you have a partner with complementary skills — one brings community relationships, one brings business operations experience — that model has worked extremely well within our network.
What does the investment look like?
Licensing investment details are shared directly with qualified candidates as part of our intake process. We’re happy to walk you through the full business model, revenue potential, and investment structure in a private conversation.
