Tanuja's Story: Journey of Perseverance and Triumph

Deciding to quit her career after a stellar track record of 12 years was hard. Gifted with a daughter, Tanuja took a break from her career to care for the little one. But after a nearly 4-year break to watch over the formative years of her baby, she deemed that it was time to return to the workforce. 

However, she faced numerous challenges along the way, including the need to update her skills while balancing family commitments. Determined to turn those obstacles into opportunities, Tanuja spent over a year updating herself with the latest developments in the tech world through YouTube tutorials, freelancing for exposure, and discussions with friends in the industry to ensure no stone was left unturned in her efforts. When she finally landed a job with Bounteous x Accolite , she was beyond ecstatic. “My family and friends applauded me,” she shares. “It really was an awesome accomplishment for me!” 

Despite her time away from the workforce, Tanuja evolved rapidly in her role as a Technical Delivery Manager - navigating around obstacles and ensuring quality results. Her ability to drive change with innovative ideas and problem-solving skills led her to quickly prove her worth, garnering appreciation from clients, company leaders, and colleagues. “I was able to communicate freely with higher-ups and gained their trust to improve business processes,” she says, emphasizing how the support received from the Bounteous x Accolite management was instrumental in transforming escalations into appreciation with clients.  

From the start, Tanuja efficiently managed a team and several projects. She trained her team to become more competent, enabling flawless delivery for customers. “Success to me is measured by growth in four aspects,” she says, recalling the lessons she learned in her journey. “Personal, Team, Customer, and Company growth.” 

Tanuja’s deep understanding of complex processes and go-getter personality empowered her to contribute meaningfully to all those aspects. Her achievements did not stop there; she received the V-WA50 'Women in Tech' award, presented by Vedica Women Alliance and Western Digital, for her exemplary leadership in tech/R&D. She also received the ‘HerRising’ award from JobsForHer, an online jobs listing service exclusively for women. 

Tanuja attributes her success to the inclusive and compassionate work environment at Bounteous x Accolite. “The first thing that stood out to me was the constant feeling of being heard,” she says, talking about the culture and how it aligned perfectly with her values. Extending a special thanks to Gaurav Karwal , Amit A. , and Hemant Shah for their mentorship and trust, she says, “I was recognized and rewarded for my efforts, which motivated me to continue delivering the best.” 

Today, Tanuja is flourishing in her field through the relentless pursuit of her dreams and the support received from her family and peers at Bounteous x Accolite. In her free time, she enjoys writing poems and has published a book of 42 Kannada poems. She continues inspiring other women in tech with her story of perseverance, encouraging them to pursue their own, no matter the obstacles.
