 In observance of Independence Day, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) will operate the following schedule:
July 3, 2026
- Local bus, METRORail, Park & Ride, curb2curb, and Community Connector will operate on the current Sunday schedules in effect for the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
- All METRO HOV/HOT lanes will be closed.
- RideStores and Lost & Found will be closed.
- The Customer Service Call Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
July 4, 2026
- Local bus, METRORail, Park & Ride, curb2curb, and Community Connector will operate on the current Saturday schedules in effect for the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
- All METRO HOV/HOT lanes will be open.
- RideStores and Lost & Found will be closed.
- The Customer Service Call Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
METROLift
- METROLift Reservations and Customer Service offices will be closed Friday, July 3.
- Friday subscription trips will be canceled. Saturday subscription trips will not be affected.
- Customers needing to schedule trips for July 3-6 can:
- Book multi-day trips between 5 a.m.-5 p.m. using the METRO On Demand website or mobile app.
- Call the automated reservation line, which accepts voice commands and keypad entries, at 713-739-4690 between 5 a.m.-5 p.m., one day prior to travel.
- Call a live agent at 713-225-6716 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on July 2.
