  Don’t buy this!!! It does not work compatibly with the Nintendo Switch. Disconnects constantly, can’t pair more than one at a time. Delayed buttons. I kept trying to give it a chance, doing different things to troubleshoot the problems and have missed the window to return them. They don’t work.

  The controller is lite, comfortable, clicky bottons, great lighting from the joy sticks and bottons but, the D-Pad is not clicky and the downward botton dont work. The bluetooth did not work on my PC or Nintendo Switch. Cable did work on my PC, which is the reason i got it. Not sure if i could recomend.

  Non-standard configuration ruins a good design.

  Out of the box I tried to read the instructions written on the box. They are dark blue text on a light blue background. OK, forget it. Somebody thought looking cool as a design was more important than actually being readable. Also in the box was an "After Sales Service" paper, that was written as light blue text on dark blue paper - in a small font no less. Unreadable. Underneath the internal packaging, which you have to pull away to find (meaning any casual look would never know it is there) was an instruction manual. Black text on white, but the paper was credit card sized in an even smaller, and weird looking, font. Also unreadable.

  After removing it from the packaging I looked it over. It has a standard Xbox layout (rather than Playstation or Switch). ABXY buttons in the proper order (versus the Switch using BAYX order) and two thumbsticks in offset positions (rather than the Playstation location at the bottom. Good! Xbox configuration is part of why I ordered it. I cannot use other controllers, muscle memory is too set for my hands to adjust.

  I plugged this in to make sure it was charged. It was and that also enumerated it as a wired controller. It also connects via Bluetooth, and has a proprietary wireless connector for people that don't have Bluetooth. Using the Game Controller applet in Windows 11 (unchanged since Windows 7 or earlier) to make sure it worked before loading a game I noticed it looked odd. There was no X axis. The Z and Y axis were the thumbstick controls. This is wrong. The triggers on the back of the controller should be the Z axis, but instead of being analog controls they acted as binary buttons. This is a setup that no game you will encounter uses.

  Additionally the Home button doesn't send the HID code that normal controllers use, this button is normally captured by overlays to start things like video capture, external chat systems, control peripherals like a mic, etc.

  Looking to fix this horrible control mapping I went online searching for a proper digital manual that I could blow up on my screen. The company does have a downloadable PDF of their manual. Good. But the manual doesn't tell you how to change the controller to be normal. Bad.

  I finally did find that positioning the trigger locks into the middle makes them function as analog Z. There is not documented. This is completely non-intuitive - but at least it's fixed to what should be the default. I've still not found anything that sends a normal Home command.

  After I finally got this to act normal, I planned to play test the controller in GTA Online. I used the macro recording feature (cool, poorly documented) to eat snacks for M1 and wear body armor for M2. Those are double button combos in-game, so adding these single buttons could be useful.

  The instructions are poor for how to use the macro recording features. It's simple.

  Press FN button+M1 button

  record either a button combo, or several presses, or both exactly as you would in-game

  Press M1 button. Repeat for M2 (which is not documented)

  Once playing the game, I liked the controller. It's a little light and feels small but isn't any smaller than a standard gamepad. It feels durable, like it's not going to fall apart after several uses (it's happened!). The force feedback is noticeable in a useful way, very precise. Riding a motorcycle over railroad tracks had a separate force event per track and not just a general rumble. The macro feature turned out not to be useful, but that's the fault of the game mechanics, not the gamepad.

  I did not use this as wireless (Bluetooth) so I have no comment about battery life.

  Once setup correctly, this feels like a good quality controller that deserves a better ranking and review. It's the abnormal default configuration, the lack of proper documentation, and the poor presentation of what documentation there is (blue on blue text, seriously?) that brings down the rank. If I had not found the configuration changes for the triggers on my own I would have ranked this even lower.

  Those problems are fixable by the manufacturer, and this seems to be their first product - let them learn.
