I miss simple, straight forward freight train movies that go exactly where you expect but are so enjoyable along the way. Also: nobody told me this was a sexy musical. I wouldn’t have waited this long to watch it.

Stories by Steven King and screenplay by George Romero?
What a strange nothing of a story to begin with. Not scary, not interesting, not gory. I feel like there was something about the drugstore Indian that was more compelling in concept than execution.
At least the other two had some fun gory effects. The final hitchhiker effect was so gross. I think Nicotero brought it back for Glen’s finale.
I can’t believe I have an opinion on this, but Toxie IV is a marked improvement on 2 & 3. It was just as ridiculous and in bad taste, maybe even more-so, but the refocus on the gore, and a somewhat more comprehensible storyline, made watching it bare-able. There were some pretty clever and nearly funny moments. The guy playing Toxie felt like a departure (the mad mask didn’t help) but he had some genuinely funny takes under all that.
It’s very weird how they made Indiana Jones 1-3, and then 34 years later made Indiana Jones 5.
Great film, if not too long.
