They did Sally Hawkins dirty in this movie, but so much about this film just plain rocks. All of the creature designs are more badass than the next. You feel the immense power and intensity of King Ghidorah (Rodan is pretty cool too). That moment when Vera Farmiga launches the explosions is cold as hell and she makes a great villain out of her depth. Charles Dance on the other end feels a little useless after the inciting incidents.
Godzilla remains the coolest of all time.
