The first 80% of the movie is set up, but Eiza Gonzalez gets hotter with each outfit change so whatever. The plot of this movie I feels like they had a bunch of cool scenes in mind and they needed to tie them together with a story.

I loved it. I gave it 5 stars in my BeehRoll review but I’ve since come down to 4.5 just bc I leave 5 for my all time favorites movies or all time classics.
That being said, fricking stellar romcom! perfect balance of rom, com, and sad. Zoey deutch is honestly perfect at balancing the cute but dorky thing, and her comedic delivery is awesome. “I haven’t counted in a long time” was perfect.

This movie has so much potential but under delivers. So much of this movie and some choices from characters go completely unexplained. Holy macguffin too, that device could basically do anything and everything and we never learned what it was.
Bright spots were Emily blunt and the 15 mins from Courtney Grace as a news anchor. She was absolutely perfect in that scene, I felt every emotion she was going through.
Worth watching just bc it’s Spielberg but left a lot to be desired and the ending underdelivers
The concept was so good but I feel like the execution was not great. It felt like a comedy too often, and the end almost felt like a Bollywood movie when everything gets crazy. Everyone’s reactions to the news also felt really exaggerated and dramatic, with 0 understanding, but maybe I’m just too much on the other side?? Rachel is the devil.
Music was fitting, very unsettling and uncomfortable at times as tension built. The jump cuts were interesting, did a good job of showing different characters thoughts
