Philips Park masterplan v1

01.08.2023

It’s been a little while since our last update, but we’re now in a position to share some exciting plans for upgrading the mountain bike trails around the park.

The plans aren’t finalised, these are just some first thoughts, and the team would love to know what cyclists, visitors, and local residents think of the changes before the project moves forward. They’d also like to know if users have any other suggestions and ideas for the trails too. You can let us have your feedback by clicking here: Philips Park Mountain Bike Trail Improvements Survey

The draft masterplan for improvements is below, and if you need a larger image then please click here: : Philips Park masterplan v1

The project is dependant upon successful fundraising, and is expected to take place over several years, but your feedback will help make sure that we get the design right for you.

Thank you for your time, and we’ll be back in touch with another update soon!

28.11.2022

We’re delighted to be working alongside the Nationwide Cycling Academy , Bury Council, The Friends of Philips Park and Lancashire Wildlife Trust on plans to improve Philips Park in Whitefield, Bury.

In 2023, the group will share a masterplan of improvements that will outline some of the physical changes that could be made across the site. However, before anything is finalised, the local community and park users will get the opportunity to feedback about the plan, and share their own ideas for improvements too.

This is a long term project, and we’re excited to be working alongside a team that have already achieved great things locally. We’ll update you again, as soon as we have more details!
