Ashwin and Paul will share the real story behind Vision 2030, how inclusive visioning, honest dialogue, and shared stewardship are turning Halifax into a model for how downtowns grow with their communities, not just around them. If you live, work, or belong to this city, this talk is about you. 🎟️ Limited Capacity: Only 60 Tickets Left. A brilliant report coming out of the Senate chaired by Senator Mary E. Robinson and Senator John McNair is calling on the federal government for support and coordination of equipment and supports for responses to #wildfire emergencies at the federal level. Senators and Minister Olszewski, do have a look at the work the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre is doing and the platform we (WeUsThem Inc.) built for them just recently that is helping coordinate requests and supports of people, equipment and fleet that is being shared nationally that could be of assistance in the work you are doing and hope to put together federally. https://lnkd.in/eJt_5XMN? #SoftwareDevelopment #Software #cdnpoli #EmergencyManagement #MissionCritical #Applications #App

WeUsThem was proud to sponsor today’s State of the Province Luncheon hosted by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, where Premier Tim Houston shared his vision for Nova Scotia’s future. Our own Faten Alshazly and Ashwin Kutty were there to represent us at this important conversation. Among the priorities the Premier spoke to: building energy independence, growing GDP per capita, investing in healthcare and education, driving innovation, and leveraging the significant defence investments underway, an area where Nova Scotia is exceptionally well-positioned. At WeUsThem, we’re proud to be rooted in this province and to stand alongside the people and communities that make Nova Scotia such a remarkable place to live, work, and grow. 🌊 #NovaScotia #nspoli #cdnpoli #WUTWUT #Innovation #Business #Halifax

Words can’t quite capture what it felt like to be in that room last Friday night. 🏆 I am deeply honoured to have received this year’s Aurum Award from the Dalhousie University Alumni Association. What makes it truly special is knowing it was chosen by my peers. That means everything. Dalhousie has shaped so much of who I am; the curiosity, the drive, the sense of community and belonging that I carry with me every single day. To be recognized by the people who walked those same halls, faced the same challenges, and dreamed the same big dreams? That’s a gift I don’t take lightly. I was so moved to celebrate alongside our Dean of Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine Dr. David Anderson, the Dean of Dalhousie - Faculty of Computer Science Dr. Nur Zincir-Heywood, and the incredible Dr. Srini Sampalli, PhD, leaders who embody what Dal stands for and whose presence made the evening even more meaningful. Thank you for being there. To have mom with me was a special treat. It doesn't happen often, but to have one of my inspirations with me in the audience was unforgettable. To Dal and the Alumni Network, thank you for continuing to build a community that lifts people up long after graduation. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger. 🐯 #DalAlumni #AurumAward #Dalhousie #DalhousieUniversity #ProudAlum #DalTigers #WomenInSTEM #AlumniExcellence #Grateful

This announcement is about delivering the best tools available to the best firefighters in the world to help keep Nova Scotians safe. These new water bombers are fast, precise, and equipped with the most modern technology in the world. They build on our government’s investments in helicopters, equipment, training, and resources to ensure Nova Scotia is ready to respond to increasingly intense wildfire seasons.

There are so many things wrong with this #ad, where does one begin? I have always been in love with cheeky ads that push boundaries to encourage behaviour change or conversion, but this is outright ridiculous! Leave alone the fact that we are talking about real livelihoods of individuals, we don’t consider the creative alternative of what a human brings to the table, besides hourly labour? Moving on from that, adding a gender comparison to the product, which feeds into misogynistic and racist commentary is a line too far! We build #AI solutions for clients and have AI in our healthcare product, so don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the possibilities of what AI has to offer, but this strategy is extremely flawed and its creative outright wrong (and I’m being polite). Not all coverage is good coverage Narwhal Labs and #advertising of this nature, positions a new product in the worst light possible as it plans to launch in short order. #ArtificialIntelligence #PR #Marketing https://lnkd.in/e_Xz-vDx

Faten, said it better than I could have. It was an absolute privilege to meet PM Mark Carney. No matter your political stripe, this is the time for us to come together and follow through on the vision the PM laid out in Davos. As both Faten and I know quite well, building 2 businesses from the ground up in #advertising (WeUsThem Inc.) and #healthcare (HealthEMe Inc.) that is delivering for #brands and clients in 6 continents requires bold thinking, good policy and a ton of hard work! But as Canadians and as immigrants this is etched in our DNA, and we look forward to continuing to build collectively for a safe and prosperous country for us all. As an aside, I will also take the compliment from the PM that the both of us look very sharp 😎! (Its not always you get told that by a PM, let’s live it up a bit) #WUTWUT #Canada #cdnpoli
