Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Susan Tuller

Deputy Chief of Mission Susan TullerSusan Tuller, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, serves as the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. She recently served as Country Consular Coordinator for the U.S. Mission in Nigeria. Previously, Ms. Tuller was the DCM in Eswatini and Benin. Other assignments include India, Ecuador, Guyana, Honduras, and Haiti. In 2019, she received the Arnold L. Raphel Memorial Award in recognition of her mentoring and support of entry- and mid-level officers while serving in India.

Prior to joining the Foreign Service in 1999, Ms. Tuller was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Yap, Federated States of Micronesia, and served as the Associate Peace Corps Director in Eritrea. Ms. Tuller holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Richmond and a master’s in international public health from the University of Alabama, Birmingham.  She speaks French and Spanish.  Ms. Tuller is married to William Bridgeland, also a Foreign Service Officer, and they have two children.
