Can I start for free?

There are no setup or monthly fees. You only pay when you make a sale: 15% of the sale price (Payment fees included) is deducted as a fee. If nothing sells, you pay nothing.

Want stable income through subscriptions

With Reader Plans, you can sell content (text, video, audio, and documents) through recurring monthly or annual billing. Ideal for those who want predictable monthly income, and popular alongside Individual Sale and Tips.

Can I set my own prices?

Individual Sale and Reader Plans can be priced freely from ¥100 to ¥50,000. With Tips, readers choose an amount from ¥100 to ¥10,000 to show their support.

Can I sell even with only a few fans?

There's no review based on your follower count. With Individual Sale and Tips, you earn from your very first reader. Our affiliate feature, where readers who buy spread the word through referral links, helps you grow your fan base too.

I already use another blog platform

With Hatena Blog or Excite Blog, you can create and sell paid content directly on the platform. On other blog platforms, you can paste a tag for content created on codoc and sell it. *Some blog platforms are not supported.

I don't want to make readers jump through hoops

Purchases happen right on your blog page. Readers simply enter their email and card details—no need to go to another site or sign up for an account.

Can I quit if it's not for me?

Since there are no monthly fees, you're never charged if you stop using it. Remove the tag from your article and it reverts to your original blog.

Can I use it without my own website?

You can use it even without your own site. Just paste a codoc tag into a blog service, or publish an article on codoc and share its URL on social media to start selling.

Can I sell more than articles (video and audio)?

Yes. Beyond text, you can sell video, audio, and documents, either via Individual Sale or bundled into a Reader Plan.

How do I split the free and paid sections?

Where the paid section begins is determined by where you place the tag (or the codoc block on WordPress). Everything above is published for free, and everything below becomes paid content that only readers who purchase can read.

Can I combine Monthly subscriptions with Individual Sales?

Yes. You can freely combine Reader Plans (Free version: Monthly/Annual; paid version: daily/weekly/monthly/annual), Individual Sale, and the Tip feature.

How do I receive my earnings?

Register your bank details in the Dashboard and request a Payout from the Payout screen, and we'll transfer the funds to your account. You can request a Payout once your available balance reaches ¥1,000.

Can I change the design of the purchase button?

Yes. Choose from 12 themes in 6 colors to match your blog's look, or customize further with CSS.

I want to promote content via affiliate marketing

We offer an Affiliate feature that pays a reward when someone refers your paid content and it sells through that referral. You set the reward rate yourself.

Can I sell to fans overseas?

codoc offers an English interface, and overseas readers can purchase in yen as long as they can use a credit card.
