Bara is a community-powered app that helps you find street food that’s open, nearby.
Users add vendors, check in live, and share quick feedback so you know what’s good right now.
No. While doubles is at the heart of Bara, the app is built for all street food including corn soup, pholourie, BBQ, gyros, roti, burger, punch, souse, snow cone and pie.
If it’s sold on the street, it belongs on Bara.
Bara uses live community check-ins.
When users are physically near a vendor, they can mark themselves as “Currently Here.”
If multiple people check in, the vendor is shown as Open with live crowd info like:
“5 people here now”
Check-ins are GPS-validated within a short distance (about 20–50 metres).
This helps reduce false “open” reports and keeps things honest.
Bara is a community-powered platform where users can add street food vendors they discover.
Your business may have been added by someone who visited your location and wanted to share it with others so they can find it on the map.
If you are the owner of a listing and would like to update your information, request a correction, or have your listing removed, you can contact us and we will review the request. Vendor tools to manage listings will also be available in the future.
Bara does not use star ratings.
Instead, users rate vendors using quick tags across:
Taste
Service
Cleanliness
Experience
This keeps reviews fast, fair, and easy to understand.
Bara limits reviews to one per vendor per user per 24 hours.
In future updates:
Only users who check in can review
Suspicious or abusive reviews can be flagged
Admin moderation tools help keep things clean
