We don’t believe in micro-management or rigid control. Instead, we’ve cultivated a culture of more freedom with high accountability, where advisors are trusted to do their best work, and supported by systems that prioritise growth.

We’re building something different, and it’s something advisors and clients can feel. As one client from Colombia recently told Allan, the “good feeling” is evident. That’s no accident. It’s the result of intentionally treating everyone who works with us and for us exceptionally well, so that they can treat anyone that walks into our office well, including clients and other suppliers.

One potential employee turned down the job opportunity because our hours would make it impossible for her to fetch her child. Rather than move on, we paused and reflected. That one comment reshaped our policies, because people shouldn’t have to choose between parenting and work.

Too many advisors are quietly unhappy, working under pressure with little training, no support and limited revenue streams. At EDGE, we invest in upskilling our advisors, so that they can grow in knowledge, confidence, and competency. That lets them do what they’re meant to do: have real, knowledgeable conversations that help people. These conversations support real connection with the client and help them manage their present while planning for the future.

We believe clients should enjoy meeting with their advisors because of the value they get from every conversation. Similarly, we also we want advisors to feel empowered to build the lives that they want, and prioritise what matters most to them, instead of just chasing numbers. We’re working hard to create an environment where advisors can grow and thrive, so that, in turn, they can service their clients to the best of their abilities

EDGE was never just a business plan, it was a response. A response to outdated thinking, to rigid models, and to a system where financial advisors often felt like just another number. EDGE exists because we believed there had to be a better way for clients, advisors, and the industry as a whole.

“I reached a ceiling,” says Alistair, speaking about his previous career. “I needed to do more. I felt I had it in me. I wanted to do more.” He, and so many other advisors, needed the freedom to do it right.

Stepping up to the challenge with scribbled logo ideas and trestle tables in the office, EDGE began with just four people and a shared vision: to create a place where redefining financial freedom wasn’t just a tagline, but a lived experience. Less than two years later, that team is up to 17 members, and continues to grow rapidly, with each person carefully chosen not just for their skills, but for their character.

We believe clients deserve advisors who listen first, speak with honesty, and then bring tailored solutions. We also believe advisors deserve the right to be independent and unbiased, with the freedom to tailor every recommendation. From planning for retirement or navigating medical cover, we believe financial planning should be as personal as the lives it’s meant to serve.

What sets us apart isn’t just how we plan. It’s how we work with integrity, empathy, and, most importantly, fun. Because fun, for us, is serious business. “Think about it, how many hours you pour in at the office.” We believe everyone should enjoy their working hours.
