Essa Public Library is a safe and inclusive space for tweens and teens. Whether you study here, play a pop-up library game, or volunteer in our community gardens, all are welcome.
Summer Programs
There’s plenty for teens to enjoy this summer at the library. Earn a ballot for our Teen Summer Prize Pack for participating in any of these activities:
100 Chapters Challenge
Dive into summer reading! Track your reading and earn rewards. Get a small prize for every 10 chapters read (or 25 pages of a graphic novel) AND a ballot for the Summer Prize Pack.
Pick up your tracker in the teen area at the library.
Teen Book Bundles
Not sure what to read next? Let us pick for you. Each bundle includes a few books to borrow (specially chosen based on your taste) PLUS stickers, goodies, and snacks to keep. Sign up here.
Anytime Activities
- Graffiti Table (Angus Branch)

- Library I Spy (Angus Branch)
Take & Make Kits – Thornton Branch (ages 12+)
In July and August, pick up a kit with all the supplies and instructions to make friendship bracelets using a cardboard loom. (Available while supplies last.)
