Easy to use fitted a polarised filter, have now ordered other filters can’t wait to experiment with them.

It may sound odd that you need instructions for a simple MagSafe phone mount, but I went through a lot of frustration and a fair bit of cursing before I picked them up.

Thing is, this is adjustable dependant on phone size, I had ordered it for my iPhone 15 Pro Max and couldn't understand why the filter ring was overlapping the cameras when placed on the phone, I tried without my phone case and still had the same issue!

It seems you can pull on the ring to extend it out from the MagSafe mount, something I would have known if I had bothered to read first!!

Now that is out of the way, the mount itself is excellent, it adds very little bulk to the phone when fitted and works even with my case on, though admittedly my case is very minimal.

Whilst it is designed to take 67mm screw on filters, I 'upgraded' mine by first screwing in a 67mm magnetic mount which allows me to switch filters much more quickly as I have a large selection of magnetic filters already.

Buying this is a no brainer if you are into iPhone photography, it is much more pocket friendly than a cage and can be attached or detached in seconds.

The only improvement I could think of is to magnetise the filter ring itself, but that is merely a suggestion on my part and not a criticism.

... what can i say? its fairly decent for what it does on the tin, so no major faults there. I had imagined that there would either be very little of an ai-r gap or none at all between the edge of the lenses on the iphone 15 pro max and the opening of the adapter. I bought it so that i could mount a step-up ring and 87mm filter. Have not yet used this extensively outdoors, therefore i cannot confirm if its a issue/ nonissue until i do. My fear is that the gap will allow in light from the naked sun and make the filter defunkt. This is my sole reason for deducting one star. Buyer's out there, beware.

I'll caveat this and state I tend to use a proper camera for photos and not a mobile, but I understand I'm more in a minority these days. That said, if you want to be a bit more creative with your photos, this allows you to use filters just as I would with a camera on your phone (albeit an iPhone as such).

In the box you get the mount as well as a screwdriver, manual and sticky ring pad in case you don't have a magnetic case or similar to use it with (I do however). Popping the mount onto the phone is no different to mounting it to a charger or similar, it just attaches and is relatively sturdy. Depending on which phone model you have, the mount is used "as is" on a normal sized iPhone, or you can pull the filter mount towards the outer edge and it slides to cover the lenses (the photo shows it on a Pro Max handset with it extended outwards).

After that, you can just pop whatever filter you need - ND if you're looking for that smooth water effect or maybe a black diffusion filter to give that smooth skin/dreamy quality without having to apply phone filters, the choice is yours (Amazon has many filters available including some packs for different effects - I'm not reviewing those here!).

Whichever filter you need or choose, as long as you get a 67mm sized one obviously, it will screw into this mount and you're good to go - as said, the ND is a normal filter for a photographer and having it available without using inbuilt software gives you better results (in my mind anyway). Either way the mount is easy to use and effective to enhance your photos without compromising the quality that some software filters will do.

Ich habe den Telefonadapter von JJC über das Vine-Programm als Testprodukt erhalten und nutze ihn mit einem iPhone 15 Pro für Videodrehs.

Er lässt sich einfach am iPhone anbringen, auch mit einer Lederhülle. Diese sollte natürlich auch Magsafe haben, sonst klappt es nicht. Die Magneten halten den Filteradapter sicher, jedoch kann man den Adapter auch relativ einfach seitlich verschieben. Dadurch ist es aber auch möglich, den Adapter leicht an das jeweilige Smartphonemodell anzupassen. Dafür gibt es den herausdrehbaren Filterbereich, den man über die Objektive legt. Mit ca. 4-5 mm Varianz lässt er sich herausdrehen und so die passende Position finden.

Das finde ich sehr gut, da er so universell auf verschiedene Modelle montierbar ist. So kann man auch das Smartphonemodell wechseln und hat weiterhin einen Filteradapter. Der 67mm Filter ist anschraubbar und ist nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten. Ich verwende meist einen variablen ND-Filter, der sich einfach und sicher anschrauben ließ.

Super finde ich, dass der Adapter auch an der Außenseite Magneten hat, so dass man an ihn noch ein weiteres Magsafe-Gerät anbringen kann. Ich habe ein magnetisches SSD-Gehäuse angebracht, sowie an den oberen Kaltschuhanschluss eine LED-Lampe. An der unteren Seite befindet sich ein 1/4 Gewinde, so dass man man eine Stativadapterplatte anschrauben kann. Damit hat man die Möglichkeit, das ganze Set auf einem Stativ zu verwenden. Super!

Ich finde, dieser Filteradapter bietet eine wirklich durchdachte und vielseitige Ausstattung, die darauf hinweist, dass sich der Hersteller Gedanken zu seinem Anwendungsbereich gemacht hat. Er bietet einfache, aber sehr sinnvolle Möglichkeiten in einer verblüffend einfachen Konstruktion. Ich kann den JJC Filteradapter daher sehr empfehlen.

It took a little bit to get it installed but once it's in place it makes sense and it's easy to remove and attach it. The lens holder works in the way I was expecting, it holds a flash and fits a specific size of lens which attach magnetically. It's a bit of fun using the lenses I already have in another way. I tried a macro lens and was able to focus properly and a fractal one as well. I've mostly just looked at the live image on screen than actualy taken any photos and videos, but the ones I have saved have turned out fine. As smartphone cameras have improved so much better stuff like this makes more sense, I'm happy with it.

This mount worked over my Moment case. With a filter on this mount, no stray light got in behind the mount. Using the double-sided MagSafe mount I was able to mount the SanDisk Phone Creator SSD for RAW video shoots. Out of the box, my iPhone 17 Pro attached firmly on a standard tripod. The cold shoe mount on top is another plus feature of this mount.
