Do I look like the kind of man you should buy a used car from?

I hope not! But luckily for both of us, I’m not here to sell you a car.

I’m here to sell you on the idea that my team and I have made some great software for Windows - and a few websites, too.

Great software... see what I did there? Oh well.

I started developing software when I was in elementary school back in the early '90s. If you were using a Windows PC back then, you might have even used something I made. It was called RegCleaner. It got one million downloads before Google was even a thing.

In 2003, I sent my very first (and also my very last) job application, it was to Nokia and I got rejected. In hindsight, I’m glad they rejected me.

It was my wakeup call and I decided it was time to get serious. I started my first company, Macecraft Software.

With Macecraft Software, I developed and published jv16 PowerTools , a Windows utility suite containing tools for Windows maintenance, error fixing and cleaning.

In 2024, I decided to close down Macecraft Software and start a new venture called Great Software Company.

As you can probably tell by now, I’ve always struggled with naming things. First “jv16 PowerTools” and then “Great Software Company.” Who comes up with names like that? Apparently, I do.

Regardless of the funny names, it’s still the same team. We weren’t sold or taken over by a mega-corporation. It’s just a new name and a fresh start.

With Great Software Company, my team and I have developed and published products such as Windows apps Uninstalr, WinFindr and also many websites such as Character Map and many other websites, too.
