Welcome to EVERYTHING SPINS

Hello, you who somehow found your way here. Everything Spins is a music review site dedicated to the musings and the music collection of one man hopelessly bound in nostalgia, still clinging on to his CDs and his ca. 2000s web design. In this site I'm slowly building a catalogue of reviews across the various albums I own in one way or another - mostly in form of physical silver discs. The reviews here are by no means anything close to objective, and they heavily reflect my own personal biases and my personal journeys with these artists and songs, ranging from contextual analyses to personal diary entries as and when it's appropriate - but hopefully still informative for those readers who may be curious about particular artists or simply wish to know why I disagree with whatever canon opinion I choose to challenge at any given time.

I do not have a set schedule for my reviews but I typically post one every 1-2 weeks. I usually focus on doing a run-through of a couple of different artist discographies (a longer and a shorter one) at any given time, with some "intermissions", so the latest reviews may look a little repetitive in that respect.

Thank you for taking interest!

Current review projects:
Long discography: Red Hot Chili Peppers [3/17]
Short discography: PMMP [Completed, next project TBC]
Miscellaneous: Sonic the Hedgehog soundtracks

26/06/26: The Sonic series gets neon bright, hyper-bouncy and mega energetic as Ohtani unleashes his signature sound, but something in there just isn't clicking this time, on Vivid Sound x Hybrid Colors: Sonic Colors Original Soundtrack (2010)
18/06/26: The Red Hot Chili Peppers get a third start as the original line-up finally reunites, with The Uplift Mofo Party Plan (1987)
06/06/26: The Red Hot Chili Peppers get a second start under the tutelage of George Clinton, with Freaky Styley (1985)
28/05/26: It's time to start a new long discography project, and we're going straight into something inherently uncool as this nerdy hipster begins the journey through one of his early formative bands - the funk-rockin' Red Hot Chili Peppers. So a new page is up, and together with it a review of their scrappy debut: The Red Hot Chili Peppers (1984)
17/05/26: Returning to the world of Manic Street Preachers for a little bit, let's look back on bassist Nicky Wire's second solo album that was tossed into the internet one July morning. Intimism (2023)
