HEX MISSION STATEMENT

Hex Magazine is a collective expression of the wonder and mystery of life and our place within it. We gather voices, visions, and stories that re-enchant the world. In our pages you’ll find articles, essays, art, and poetry that explore the threads that bind us—not only to each other—but also to nature, our myths and folkways, and the unseen forces that share our world.

Hex celebrates animism, polytheism, folklore, indigenous knowledge, and living traditions of magic around the world, offering a space for diverse cultural perspectives and ancestral wisdom to be shared. We believe that by listening to and sharing these stories, we remember what has always been true—that humans are not apart from the world, we are woven into its living fabric.

We believe that we can only really thrive when we uncover the precious spark of what makes us truly human—buried beneath the weight of modernity and civilization. This spark connects us to the chthonic forces of the earth, the mystery of being alive, and to the ancient currents of story, song, and ritual that have always sustained us.

Our aim is to cultivate community, excite imagination, and restore a sense of wonder. Each issue invites readers to explore the voices of the natural world, the myths that feed our cultural heritage, the stories that connect us, the rituals of everyday life, and the numinous forces that weave us all together.

Hex is not just a magazine; it is a collective offering, a place where creators and seekers can gather to celebrate beauty, mystery, and the sacred web of life.
