Heh... how novel. Proves my point again, though. XD

Your second post is much more reasonable... Glad you saw the light, at least.

You keep making my points for me... and resorting to personal insults is the last resort of a beaten opponent. Name calling, especially... Pandy? I'm flattered. It's hard to make anyone believe you aren't mad when you turn to toxic behavior like name calling and references to sexual deviancy. No argument against you? My guy, you just got finished saying I was goading you, and that's why you responded... if you aren't flamed, why you making it personal?

You'll still take that update for this free game when it arrives, won't you, big guy... XD

If you don't get it, you don't get it. This game has sat in the top ten most popular adult games on Itch for a long time... so long, in fact, that Komisari could turn this into a demo page, turn off comments, and only offer updates to his patrons... leaving you to wonder (and comment) to yourself. At least then they could develop in peace, instead of having to come here to defend themselves against cyberbullies that think it's good form to post financials in public forums, or to try to chase people off (how very classy). You didn't pay a dime for this game, but you're here to complain that it's not done yet? ... who's the "Yandere"?

The best part is this: you'll return, and take the free update, because Komisari is too kind to do what I described above. You'll be 'eating that crow' in private, but we'll still know. ;) Enjoy.

This developer made this game with NO previous knowledge of game development. It's got an engrossing story, great humor, developed characters, minigames-- literally hours of content (and very few bugs-- in fact I've never run into one, although I'm told there are a few, I've never been able to reproduce them) and days of it if you're a completionist. It's been in the top ten most popular adult games on Itch.io since I joined the site, which is why it was one of the first I ever downloaded-- for all of these very good reasons. The developer is active in their Discord community, offering sneak peeks, progress reports, and a great group of deviants to chat with while you explore it all. It will keep you playing longer than many paid titles on Steam, and it's free.

Are you still wondering why people love this game, or this dev?

Again: IYKYK. If you don't... well, my guy, your words don't carry as much weight as you think they do. ;)

A couple things to remember when it comes to any adult game/AVN: Sounds = file bloat... it gobbles up space. Voice acting (yes, even for just moans) is both expensive to hire, and hard to find. Plapping noises are different: you can make those easily with the right materials, and you can reuse them as needed. CH has a pretty large cast of characters, so you'd need a pretty diverse range of voices for moans, grunts, whimpers, gasps, and whatever else you can think of... now you have higher overhead (considering Vert is building this AVN on nothing but donations, that isn't a small thing) and a massive sound file (all fun and games until you're at the mercy of mega or mediafire)... As nice as it would be (for some of us-- others would mute any sounds so we could continue playing without traumatizing anyone walking past the door) a lot of folks don't know how much they're asking for when they ask for moans or voicing.

Make a save the morning of the date. You can't rewind, but you can reload. Charlotte's date was much harder to get right-- had to reload three times to get the perfect date.

*literally, *would, *You're, *assumptions, *you're (again)... I've never seen anyone get so shook they completely misspell that much of the first sentence they type, especially since the reply window is spell-checked... being literate (and articulate) helps when you're trolling a public forum (or attempting to, anyway) my guy.  XD

Hmm, right, why would you lie about that? Clearly you're very pleasant and polite, on here bashing folks that can't even defend themselves-- mainly because your identity is hidden behind a throwaway account here on Itch... but you're right about one thing-- I'm one of them.  The way you're running your keys right now? I guarantee I'm 100% correct in those 'assumption(s)'. XD

I'm going to plug the Patreon real quick, because Vertigo doesn't like to 'toot his own horn', so to speak: Lowest tier is dirt cheap, once per month, and you get sneak-peeks, frequent devlogs, and early access for less than lunch at Chipolte... once per month. This dev is worth it. Play this game-- it'll prove my point. If you absolutely can't, at least rate the game-- a little love goes a long way! The discord is a great group of folks, too, and that's free!

Gonna plug this again, because this dev is definitely worth the extra mile:
The top tier of NCrow's Patreon membership is cheaper than getting lunch at McDonald's... and it's only once a month. Just some information-- food for thought, so to speak. It's awesome getting the updates right out of the gate, and the devlogs are usually full of sneak-peeks... plus you can connect to the Discord and chat with NCrow and the rest of the community. Lowest tier is about as expensive as an energy drink at the gas station... and again, it's a once per month thing. HIGHLY recommend. If you've played this game, you already know it's big enough and awesome enough to deserve a tip-- the game is free, and it's in the TOP 5 top rated games on Itch. Worth it!

The update so far is outstanding, and the animation is everything we've come to love from this dev-- so much attention to detail, and the sheer number of animations is kinda crazy for just one update! No generic KK-basic-H-animation, here... and no spoilers beyond that. Tier 2 and 3 for patrons released a couple hours ago, with the promise of finishing touches still to come... Seriously, if you haven't considered supporting, try it for a month-- it's worth it!

It's out for tier 2 and 3 for patrons, currently... released a couple hours before you made this comment, actually... and it was totally worth the wait-- you'll see!

With comments like that, I'm rather doubtful you 'left' the Discord. I'd have to guess you got the boot-- probably for trolling... Unsurprising, considering you're trolling here on an account less than three months old. XD

I wish I could post some of the stuff I've seen in the devlog section of the Discord... game play vids less than a week old that show new inventory mechanics--- and so much more. Seriously, the Discord is FREE. Go look, if you doubt.

I would 100% be on board with that, if NCrow decides to, but there again, it may be cost-prohibitive... guess we shall see. =)

hmm... not real sure why it's not letting you see. Do you have menus? can you show a screen grab?

Android or iPhone?

First: that's not even supposed to be operational until September-- Way, WAY after this update hits. I'd say at least 2-3 updates away (this one is extra large, hence the extra time) and Second: Google has already stated there will be a way for devs to register/identify their apps... and that is IF Third: it won't be possible to disable the blocker to begin with... which Google is still debating, as it may lose custom-- the argument being that owner's choice is a major feature of Android OS.Try not to panic. There is also the Fourth: Jailbreaking is not a new concept. You just know some enterprising person will find a workaround. ;)

Pro Tip: once she becomes available, visit her often. ;)

Check your quests, but also check the hints offered on the ladies' profiles-- sometimes you'll find something that wasn't very obvious will help you progress...

(1 edit)

If you join the Patreon (I believe there is a free tier-- no perks, but devlogs, etc.) you will feel better about the wait... also, join the Discord! NCrow is active there (they like to lurk, LOL)... that part is always free! =D Rest assured, the new update is coming very soon. The main reason it's taking so long is that NCrow has something rather large coming-- I'm not gonna spoil anything-- but it's really big compared to some of the other updates. This is info straight from the Patreon, and it's been in the works for a while. NCrow won't let you down... have a little faith, or join the Discord, and know for sure!

(1 edit)

I'm gonna copy/paste for a sec here, because this has come up before... in the end, it's up to NCrow, of course, but previous discussions brought up various points that must be considered:
------------VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV-------------

<I'm not sure how likely that is-- for two reasons: voice acting is expensive (it's different with plap noises or wet noises because anyone can make them) and the second reason is file bloat-- sounds are big files-- with such a diverse cast, it would blow up the size of the game very quickly, and GW is already not so small. It's all fun and games until you're DLing 7-8 gigs on the downloader, at the mercy of the server connection speed. I get what you mean, I'm just not sure the logistics are as feasible as we'd like them to be. NCrow is good, but we don't want to break them...>
These points were brought up in the Discord under much the same circumstances. NCrow may try it anyway, but between cost and bloat <shrug> I wouldn't blame them for avoiding the headache, especially with a cast that big... and re using voices seems a bit cheesy-- I don't think NCrow would dishonor the ladies like that... even the mean ones.

The game is free. It'll be ready when it's ready. There is no need to be rude, here. More info is available on the Patreon and on the Discord, if you like, but nobody is "out of line". This is one of the top most popular games on Itch-- for a reason. Don't rush an artist.

Nah, they're already getting paid by the authors for storage, they don't need my money, too-- nor do they need a vector into my system that allows them to market my data, etc. Funny, because they claim Firefox can't buffer a file that big, but Mediafire and Google Drive manage just fine. I think I'd rather not DL an app from a company that lies that blatantly.

FYI Mega wants to install it's spyware before it'll let you download, claiming whatever browser you use doesn't have enough buffer to get the job done. It refuses to allow download unless you comply.

Honestly, I don't get paid, or even asked-- I just hate cyberbullies. Also, I'm informed on this. Oh, and I don't feel entitled/inclined to complain about free stuff. Oh, yeah, and I don't make a point of going back-- over and over-- to pages I allegedly don't like just to b*tch that it's not moving at the pace I expect it to. Seriously, if you're not losing money somehow, why TF do you care? You just, what, want to take away his income stream because he's not moving fast enough for you? Seriously, move on. This isn't healthy. It's none of your business what Komisari does with their revenue stream, any more than what color underwear I'm wearing is. Frankly, it amazes me you have the audacity to think you're entitled to know-- especially when you haven't paid a single red cent for the game. If you don't want/aren't interested in this game, why are you here? To bully. To try to take away from. To reduce. To do all of this from the safety of an anonymous profile... and now you want to try to bring it to me for defending Komi?

This game has been in the top ten games rated adult on Itch.io for as long as I've been a registered user... it's also one of the first I downloaded. I didn't start supporting the game until almost a year later-- because I didn't know about the Discord. Didn't know about the community. $2 a month. I don't even need the donation to be a member of the Patreon or Discord... they're free. Donations are not mandatory... and the ONLY reason I can think of for you to be here trying to say he's 'ripping people off' is if you're jealous of the fact that he has that many people that have faith in the project. It's an amazing game-- it wouldn't be in the top 10 if it wasn't-- and it's going to get better. Just stop-- you're not entitled to anything, here, and the game is free. When they put out the next update, it'll STILL be free, unless they get fed up with cyberbullies and make it exclusive to their Patreon contributors (which they most definitely can if they so choose) and keep this page as a public demo, with comments turned OFF. Honestly, at this point, I would, were I they-- lucky you, I think Komi is too nice for that.

I'm not sure how likely that is-- for two reasons: voice acting is expensive (it's different with plap noises or wet noises because anyone can make them) and the second reason is file bloat-- sounds are big files-- with such a diverse cast, it would blow up the size of the game very quickly, and GW is already not so small. I heard... pretty sad that a freaking video game with fantasy elements is an issue, but whatever...

We should probably stick to topic on another game dev's page, tho, Steph

Haven't been to the discord since not long after the rework... I was one of the ones not so happy with the character reworks. I'm taking a break while he finishes the next update-- cooling off, as it were.

I get what you're saying, and if the author were claiming the music as his own composition, I could see it being an ethical issue. College kids using AI to create term papers, do homework, etc. is honestly not 'wrong' per se, but in the end it defeats the purpose of attending school in the first place: to sharpen themselves into smart, functional adults capable of more. It is wrong, in the sense that the one you are wronging is yourself. A bit of a moral 'grey area', if you will.

Further than that, AI is a tool; much like Ren'Py, or Koikatsu, or Honey Select, etc., etc..... most artists will site the big, licensed tools (like Ren'Py, or any number of programming/coding tools, but more often than not leave KK, HS, or HCC in the fine print (some won't even go there) and claim the work is entirely their own. We know, of course, and the model design is theirs, but it's made possible with a tool that accessed/utilized the work of many, many developers, programmers, testers, and a slew of others-- so decrying an AI stage dressing while being ok with the artist not creating his own coding, game engine, purpose-built computer, etc... would mean the only artists that would be truly valid would be those that sculpt, paint, or compose with tools they designed, made, and implemented themselves. It's not that much of a leap, either. When you credit Ren'Py in your game, you're crediting everyone that was involved in it's creation. When you credit the AI, you're crediting its creators, and everyone-- everyone-- in whatever database it used to 'learn' from.

If you are a solo dev, or limited by resources on how much you can spend, etc., using a free AI source to dress up your own work doesn't seem like it's an egregious sin-- as long as you site the source, and don't claim credit for anything you don't do (arrangement, selection, etc.) and give those who are opposed, for whatever reasons, a warning to steer clear.

That said, I reiterate that I get your point of view, but don't necessarily agree with how severe you seem to think the ethical breach is. just my $.02.

Heya Kitty! I remember! Hope you're doing well!
