I'm honestly surprised at how negatively fans feel about the Plan, because I found watching it to be super satisfying and captivating experience and a great cherry atop this phenomenal show. The Cylons and their perspective consistently proved to be some of the most interesting parts about Battlestar Galactica and throughout the run I found myself repeatedly wishing to have seen critical moments of the show from their view. I expected Aliens to be a lot like Home Alone 2-- a sequel that tries to capitalize the success of its first film and push it to the extreme, losing some of the original film's identity and nuance in the process. Instead, what I got was a sequel that managed to outdo its predecessor in a lot of ways while avoiding re-inventing the wheel. A perfect sequel, and an innovative, extraordinary film in itself.
