the dumbest premise played as straight as any bad horror movie from the early 2000s. full moon please never stop making this bullshit, i love you. 

Sarah’s brother and father were killed in a diner by Millard Findlemeyer, but he was caught soon after and executed. however, his ashes wind up at her family’s bakery and into the gingerbread batter. with a little incidental blood, Findlemeyer is baked back to life as a cookie. 

i think the film mainly works…

all i knew about Mad Max before watching this came from the reboots that i also haven’t seen. the garish, bright colors. the post-apocalyptic desert wasteland of wild punks in crazy vehicles. but this had an entirely different vibe than i expected. it’s clearly set in an alternate reality, one plagued by gangs of nomad bikers who kill without discretion. still a very mechanical oriented wasteland, where everyone’s a character with some sort of silly name like Goose or Sprog…
