Wish I would have watched this sooner!

One of Nick Cage’s best performances and it might be my personal favorite.
Loved the violence and gore! Some really creative unique trippy shots that I have not seen in other movies.
Also loved that I had to question what kind of film I was watching whether it was supernatural evil or just general batshit crazy people.

Gives off strong twilight zone vibes especially with the sound editing & mixing of the score which makes it similar to films anywhere between 40s-60s. Would love to watch it in Black and White! 
However at times the over dramatized acting which was intentional for sure becomes stale. 
The trailer does deceive from the actual plot however, the unknown aspects of what the soldiers are facing was engaging until the overall narrative is never really explained and left with too much self interpretation.

I feel it would have been more atmospherically scarier if they had a modern score.
