Dianna's been drawing and painting since very young, but always stepped away from professionally pursuing art until recently, choosing instead to become proficient in graphic design and marketing — creating leaflets, business cards, logos, bookmarks, book covers, visual concepts, and more. 2024 proved a highly transformative year, and she’s finally decided to follow her old love of drawing and illustrating by hand, so she did what she does best which is leap into every venture. She’s now working casually as a freelance illustration artist — along with her fiction writing — who can utilise graphic design skills. She considers both commercial and personal commissions. TV, FILM & STAGE

Dianna's been performing on stage since the first nativity play she did at age 4. Guitar playing, singing, and acting took up a fair amount of her school years, and she went on to study at Drama School before pursuing acting professionally. The late 1990s saw her in a couple of low budget short films, in a feature film as a background actor, and in a horror play which became her debut into London Fringe Theatre. Her finances were not at their best, though, so she eventually fell out of acting when the need for a steady income shouted louder. Fast forward to summer, 2024, and she decided, with her daughter now older, it was time to dip her toe back into TV, film, and stage and was lucky enough to partake in productions airing on Sky Crime, and Amazon MGM Studios, and some theatre. She acts as and when the right opportunities come her way.

FICTION BOOKS & AUTHOR LINKS

When Dianna was six, she read A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett. She bawled her eyes out, feeling so much pain and joy through Sara Crewe that she was determined to write things that made others feel just as much. She stapled her first book together at 8 years old and wrote her first proper story (with loads of chapters and everything) at age 10 - it was about a foster child called Lucinda befriending a lonely blacksmith during the Second World War. Poetry and fiction were big passions through her teens. She became a published poet at 18, and a published author at 20 when her short story, It's For You-Hou!, was accepted by a small press magazine. In 2010, she set up her own publishing imprint and was offered a contract with Noble Romance Publishing for a short story she'd written that same year. In 2011, she brought out The Witching Pen which did well, led to book two, and the rest is history. With 25+ books out, she’s still going strong.
