Prisca's program sets itself apart because the instruction is one-on-one and personalized.  (There is no tedious classroom work, other students talking during class, or exams.)  Classroom space is available, but I preferred the local cafes and walking around town.  The school's particular advantage in comparison to other programs is the large number of opportunities for immersion – at times it seems that the entire town is happy to welcome you.  Prisca's family is also supportive.

I had two teachers (Amandine and Prisca) in rotation for three hours of instruction each weekday morning for 4 weeks.  My level is C1-C2; most instruction consisted of wandering conversations with 1-2 hours per day of targeted homework based on my weaknesses.  Alternating teachers was helpful:  each had a different instructional style, and they complemented one another.  My job is remote, and I was able to work in the afternoons and evenings.

Bagnères is a pleasant town and a good place to learn French.  The dominant accent is standard French.  French is the only language I heard used in town.  Everything is within walking distance, and the town is safe: no big-city worries.   (I did not rent a car and did not need one.)  There is no shortage of interesting things to do on weekends.  Great hiking and biking trails begin literally at the edge of town.

I've studied French in various French cities and settings.  Prisca's program in Bagnères was by far the most pleasant and productive.

I spent a week in Bagneres-de-Bigorre studying with Prisca one on one. She did a fantastic job of catering her teaching to my level and also made it more enjoyable with a variety of activities.  She is a very open, easy going, lovely person who has traveled extensively.  The town is charming and very close to the Pyrénées if you like hiking or just exploring nature.

This immersion program was wonderful.  The instructors were very engaged and patient and the accommodations were extremely picturesque and comfortable!  The excursions were a perfect compliment to the French experience.  And of course, the food and wine were extraordinary!
