Amanda May - Disability Inclusion Officer, Yarra Ranges Council. Presented on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of Carers in the Yarra Ranges, and the services available in the Yarra Ranges Council. 
Amanda supports the coordination of two Pathways for Carers Walks in Yarra Ranges in partnership with Mt Evelyn Community House, Healesville Living and Learning Centre and VMCH Carer Supports. The Pathways for Carers walks offer carers of people with disability or mental illness an opportunity to share walks together, connect with nature and to learn more about news, services and supports available to carers.
The walks are held once a month – one in Healesville and another in Mt Evelyn, with a relevant guest walker invited from different local organisations such as Melba Support Services and Eastern Legal Community Centre. These guest walkers accompany the walks, answering questions, offering advice and resources in a very relaxed, casual and friendly manner.
