Specialists in hands-on woodwork education, sustainability and building confidence in both children and educators since 2014.
Why We Created This Program
After more than 2,500 woodwork incursions and over a decade of working alongside educators, we kept hearing the same thing:
"We'd love to offer woodwork, but we don't know where to start."
That is exactly why we created the Little Woodworkers™ Professional Development Program.
Rather than leaving educators to figure it out on their own, we created a practical step-by-step pathway that makes hands-on woodwork and sustainability education feel achievable in everyday practice.
Our goal is simple:
To help educators feel confident, capable and excited about bringing meaningful hands-on learning into their own settings.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Not at all. In fact, most educators begin with little or no woodwork experience.
Our Professional Development is specifically designed to build confidence step by step, making woodwork feel practical, achievable and far less intimidating than most people expect.
-
Quite simply, we share everything we’ve learned after more than a decade of facilitating over 2,500 woodwork incursions with children and educators.
But most importantly, educators experience the process for themselves by building their own wooden project, helping them understand exactly what children experience during our hands-on learning sessions.
We cover tools, safety, materials, workspace setup, sustainability, planning, implementation and practical strategies to confidently introduce woodwork into your own setting.
-
Very.
This is not theory-based Professional Development.
Educators actively build their own wooden project during the training, allowing them to experience firsthand what children experience during our incursions.
It is one of the most powerful ways to build genuine understanding, practical real-world skills and the confidence needed to successfully introduce meaningful woodwork experiences with children.
We intentionally designed our Professional Development to be hands-on, practical and immediately applicable, so educators leave feeling excited and confident about what suddenly feels achievable.
-
