It is a one-minute animation video of a children’s program produced by EBS in Korea. I thought the genre of silhouette would play a role in giving children great imagination, so I asked them to produce it, and I made it into a silhouette animation in a short scenario made by reinterpreting the contents of the fairy tale.

한국의 EBS 방송국에서 제작하는 어린이 프로그램의 1분 짜리 애니메이션 영상입니다. 실루엣이라는 장르가 아이들에게 큰 상상력을 주는 역할을 할 것이라 생각하셔서 제작 의뢰를 하셨고, 동화의 내용을 재해석해서 만든 짧은 시나리오에 실루엣 애니메이션으로 제작했습니다.

It is a video produced by being moved after listening to Oh Yeon-jun’s wind-colored music. At that time, in the children’s program, Oh Yeon-jun sang the color of the wind, the OST of the musical Pocahontas, and I was moved and produced the feeling of the music through the silhouette.

오연준의 바람의 빛깔 음악을 들은 후, 감동을 받아서 제작한 영상입니다. 당시에 어린이 프로그램에서 오연준 어린이가 뮤지컬 포카혼타스 OST인 바람의 빛깔 노래를 불렀는데, 감동을 받아서 그 음악에서 느껴지는 느낌을 실루엣을 통하여 제작을 하였습니다.

Korean traditional paper, hanji, was used as the background to express its unique texture, and the gradation color was used to make the silhouette more visible. In addition, this animation is used as a background video for musical music, so it consists of slow animation scenes so that music can be more effective.

한국의 전통종이인 한지를 배경으로 넣어 특유의 질감을 표현하였고, 그라데이션 색감을 사용하여 실루엣이 더 잘 보이도록 효과를 주었습니다. 또한 이 애니메이션은 뮤지컬 음악의 배경영상으로 사용하는 영상이라서 음악이 더욱 효과를 나타낼 수 있게 느린 애니메이션 장면으로 구성하였습니다.

The start of silhouette animation began after watching Michelle Oslo’s Prince and Princess. I was moved by the animation video and started a silhouette animation project. Silhouette animation is a work that conveys the story and feeling through the background of colorful colors and the movement of shadows.

실루엣애니메이션 작업의 시작은 미셸오슬로 감독의 프린스 앤 프린세스를 보고나서 시작되었습니다. 애니메이션 영상을 보고 감동을 받아 실루엣 애니메이션 프로젝트를 시작했습니다. 실루엣 애니메이션은 화려한 색감의 배경과 그림자들의 움직임을 통하여 스토리와 느낌을 전달하는 작업입니다.
