We have also committed to responsibly compensating our partners for verified losses arising from the incident so that users are not asked to bear those costs.

In parallel, we are coordinating with partners to ensure users whose transactions were affected by the network state rollback to block 5518799 are appropriately credited wherever reconciliation is required.

Exchange deposits and withdrawals are being restored progressively, and we expect services across our partners to return to normal as their reconciliation processes are completed.

What should users do?

If you deposited BDX to an exchange

No action is required.

If your deposit was made after block 5518799 (approx. 8:45 AM UTC, June 26, 2026), your wallet balance has already returned to the last valid blockchain state.

Simply put, if you made a deposit to an exchange after the specified time, your deposit would be reverted back to your custodial or non-custodial wallet as a result of the state rollback.

If you made BDX withdrawal from an exchange

If you withdrew BDX from an exchange after block height 5518799 (approx. 8:45 AM UTC, June 26, 2026), the blockchain now reflects the last valid network state prior to that withdrawal. As a result, the withdrawn BDX balance is reflected back in the exchange’s wallet on the canonical chain.

We have communicated the same to our exchange partners, and they have agreed to verify these balances and credit the corresponding users. If you are affected, please follow your exchange’s instructions or contact their support team if required.

If you purchased BDX on a swap platform

Please contact the respective platform for reconciliation.

Since the network state was restored to the last valid block, the corresponding BDX balance is now reflected with the swap platform. We are already working closely with our swap partners to ensure affected users are credited appropriately.

If you made a wallet-to-wallet transfer

Wallet-to-wallet transfers made after block 5518799 are also reflected according to the restored blockchain state.

If you participated in one or more peer-to-peer BDX transfers after the specified block, that transfer will no longer appear on the current canonical version of the blockchain.

Instead, the network now reflects the state before that transfer happened. The balance is restored to the wallet that held the funds at 8:45 AM UTC on June 26, 2026.

For example, if BDX was transferred from Wallet A → Wallet B → Wallet C during the affected period, the balance is reflected back in Wallet A, as subsequent transfers no longer exist on the canonical chain. In such cases, users should coordinate with the wallet from which the funds originally originated to reconcile any outstanding balances.

As Beldex is a privacy-first blockchain, the team is unable to view or verify individual wallet balances or peer-to-peer transactions. However, we remain available to explain how the network state restoration affects these transactions. We will also provide a Wallet RPC endpoint and a legacy blockchain explorer to help users verify balances and transactions on the pre-hardfork chain. This will help users with balance verification on the legacy branch of the chain and subsequent peer-to-peer reconciliation.

Looking Ahead

We sincerely thank our exchange partners, infrastructure providers, community validators, and ecosystem partners for their swift cooperation throughout this process.

Most importantly, thank you to our community for your patience, understanding, and continued trust.

We remain committed to transparency, the security of the Beldex network, and ensuring every affected user and partner is supported through the reconciliation process.

Dear Beldians,

First and foremost, thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued trust in Beldex. We understand that the ongoing network interruption has caused uncertainty, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and support during this time.

Our team acted immediately upon identifying the issue, coordinating with ecosystem partners across the globe to safeguard the network and restore normal operations. We’d like to share a complete update on the incident, the measures taken, and the path forward.

At approximately 08:45 UTC on 26 June 2026, the Beldex network detected an anomaly that resulted in an incorrect masternode reward being generated. Instead of the expected 6.25 BDX block reward, a validator was incorrectly rewarded with approximately 900018906.34 (approx. 900 million) BDX.

Upon detecting the issue, the Beldex core team immediately initiated its incident response procedures. To preserve the integrity of the blockchain and restore the network to its last valid state, an emergency hardfork was initiated.

What happened?

The anomaly occurred at block height 5518800. By the time it was identified, the network had progressed further to block height 5520127, making it necessary to roll back approximately 1,327 blocks to the last valid block.

As a result, the blockchain will recognize block height 5518799 as the last valid state. The incorrectly generated 900 million BDX will not exist on the canonical chain, fully restoring the intended circulating supply and token economics.

What does this mean for users?

Any native BDX transactions that occurred after block height 5518800 will be reverted as part of the rollback.

This means that:

Native BDX sent between wallets during the affected period will be returned to the originating wallet.

Native BDX deposits made to exchanges during the affected period will also be reverted, with the funds automatically restored to the sender’s wallet on the canonical chain.

No action is required from most users.

We are actively coordinating with exchanges and infrastructure partners to reconcile any exceptional cases that may arise.

Was the network compromised?

No.

The issue was isolated to the incorrect masternode reward transaction. The transaction validation process and the network’s consensus mechanism were not compromised, and no double-spend was detected or is expected.

Security improvements

A patched version of the beldexd daemon has been released to address the underlying issue. With this update, reward transactions of this nature will no longer be accepted by the network.

Obscura v7.0.2 (latest Beldex daemon): https://github.com/Beldex-Coin/beldex/releases/tag/v7.0.2

We have requested all masternode operators, exchanges, wallets, and infrastructure partners to upgrade to the latest version before rejoining the network.

Our commitment

The security and stability of the Beldex network remain our highest priorities.

We are committed to ensuring that no legitimate user is disadvantaged by this incident. While native BDX balances affected by the rollback will automatically return to their originating wallets (custodial and non-custodial), we will continue working closely with our exchange and ecosystem partners to review and resolve any exceptional cases.

We appreciate the support and cooperation of our community, masternode operators, exchanges, and infrastructure partners throughout this process. Further updates will be shared as the network returns to normal operation.

On June 12, 2026, the Beldex team identified unauthorized minting of BDX-BSC tokens resulting from an issue within the Beldex bridge infrastructure that supports BDX on BSC Chain.

Immediately upon discovery, our incident response procedures were activated. The affected bridge infrastructure, BDX-BSC contract, and related services, including trade, deposits, and withdrawals on exchanges where the BDX-BSC token was listed, were paused to prevent further activity while our team began a comprehensive investigation.

First and foremost, we want to reassure the community that this incident was isolated to the BDX-BSC environment and its associated bridge infrastructure. The Beldex native blockchain was not affected. The native chain remained secure, fully operational, and continued processing transactions normally throughout the incident.

What Happened?

Our investigation determined that unauthorized BDX-BSC tokens were minted through the bridge infrastructure without the corresponding movement of native BDX that would normally back those assets.

Preliminary analysis identified approximately 38.2 million unauthorized BDX-BSC tokens minted and distributed across multiple addresses controlled by the malicious actor.

Following the minting event, the attacker moved the unauthorized BDX-BSC tokens across several platforms. A portion of these tokens was bridged into native BDX and subsequently sold on centralized exchanges, while other funds (BDX-BSC tokens) were deposited directly into supported exchanges.

The incident activity was first traced to transactions occurring after June 10, 2026, at approximately 23:36 UTC. The attacker subsequently began selling the tokens on the market on June 11, 2026, at around 23:10 UTC. The bridge infrastructure was paused early on June 12, 2026, preventing any further activity through the affected pathway.

Immediate Response

Upon identifying the issue, the Beldex team took immediate action to contain the incident and protect users.

These measures included:

Suspending bridge operations to prevent further unauthorized activity.

Pausing the affected BDX-BSC contract environment, including deposits, withdrawals, and trades on exchanges where BDX-BSC is listed.

Conducting a comprehensive investigation into fund movements.

Tracing transactions associated with the unauthorized minting event.

Coordinating with exchanges, wallets, infrastructure providers, and other ecosystem partners.

Sharing transaction records and wallet information with relevant parties to support investigations and asset monitoring efforts.

The affected bridge infrastructure has since been secured, and no additional movement through the affected bridge pathway is possible.

Impact Assessment

While the incident affected BDX on the BSC chain, the impact was limited to the bridge environment and did not affect the Beldex native blockchain’s infra.

The following remained unaffected throughout the incident:

The Beldex native blockchain.

Native BDX balances and transactions.

Masternode operations.

Network consensus.

Core protocol security.

BChat, BelNet, and Beldex Browser Infra

Users holding native BDX on the Beldex blockchain were not impacted by this event.

Maintaining Market Stability

Security incidents like this can create uncertainty, especially when they involve bridged assets like BDX-BSC operating across multiple blockchain ecosystems.

As part of our immediate response, the Beldex team worked closely with ecosystem partners and implemented measures to stabilize market conditions and reduce disruption to legitimate users through strategic buybacks.

We would like to thank our exchange partners, custodial and non-custodial wallet partners, as well as other infrastructure service providers and community members who assisted throughout the process.

Why We Are Replacing the Existing BDX-BSC Contract

As our investigation progressed, it became clear that continuing with the existing BDX-BSC contract would not provide the level of assurance and clarity required for long-term ecosystem stability.

For this reason, Beldex will retire the existing BDX-BSC contract (0x6ad12E761b438beA3EA09F6C6266556Bb24C2181) and deploy a new BDX-BSC contract that will continue to maintain a 1:1 relationship with native BDX.

The new contract will become the canonical representation of BDX on the BSC Chain moving forward.

New contract address:
0x9d10a1ec41Fe7878429BB457e31F9b050D38c633

Protecting Legitimate Holders

A key priority throughout this process has been ensuring that legitimate users are not negatively affected by the incident.

To accomplish this, the Beldex team is working closely with exchanges and ecosystem partners to establish a comprehensive balance reconciliation process.

Exchange partners have been requested to provide balance snapshots and transaction records covering the affected period. This information will allow us to distinguish legitimate user holdings from funds associated with the unauthorized minting event.

Non-custodial wallet holders (holders of BDX-BSC tokens on wallets like MetaMask and Trust Wallet) will also be compensated on a 1:1 ratio. Users do not need to take any action to receive funds.

The new BDX-BSC tokens will be credited to them automatically based on snapshots taken at 23:36 UTC, June 10, 2026 (that is, before the attack).

All eligible holders will receive replacement BDX-BSC tokens under the new contract on a 1:1 basis. Our goal is simple: to protect legitimate holders, and they should retain their economic position despite the incident.

What Users Need To Do

At this stage, users are not required to take any action.

We strongly advise the community to rely only on official Beldex communication channels for updates regarding:

Contract migration details.

Eligibility criteria.

Snapshot procedures.

Exchange support.

Token distribution timelines.

Any migration instructions will be communicated directly by the Beldex team once finalized.

Next Steps

The Beldex team is currently focused on the following priorities:

Completing the ongoing investigation and independent review process along with leading blockchain auditing firms in the industry.

Finalizing the deployment of the new BDX-BSC contract.

Coordinating with exchanges and infrastructure partners.

Reconciling legitimate user balances.

Distributing replacement tokens on a 1:1 basis to eligible holders.

Restoring full BDX functionality on the BSC chain through a secure and sustainable framework.

Moving Forward

While incidents such as these are challenging for us, they also show the importance of transparent communication, rapid response, and strong ecosystem partnerships.

Throughout the remediation process, our commitment has remained unchanged. It is to protect users, maintain transparency, and restore normal operations as quickly and responsibly as possible.

We appreciate the patience, support, and trust shown by our community, partners, exchanges, and ecosystem participants.

Additional updates will be shared as new information becomes available.

— The Beldex Team

Beldex is excited to announce that the BNS Marketplace, a decentralized and private secondary marketplace for BNS name trading, is now LIVE!

The BNS Marketplace is a peer-to-peer platform that enables users to buy, sell, and trade BNS names directly with one another.

BNS (Beldex Name Service) was built to simplify interactions across the Beldex ecosystem by providing human-readable identities that users truly own. Instead of relying on long wallet addresses, complex BChat IDs for messaging, or illegible BNS addresses for private domain hosting, BNS introduces an intuitive identity layer for BChat and Beldex wallet-linked interactions, as well as BelNet’s domain-style functionality across the ecosystem.

With the launch of the BNS Marketplace, users can now buy and sell BNS names, register new names, manage transfers, receive transaction updates, and oversee ownership, all through a single connected platform.

But how does the BNS Marketplace work, and what can users expect from the experience?

In this article, we’ll explore how users can buy, sell, and trade BNS names, transfer ownership, track marketplace notifications and transaction timelines, and register new names directly within the marketplace.

Buy & Sell BNS Names: https://bns.beldex.io/marketplace

Sell Your BNS Name With Verified Ownership

One of the key features of the BNS Marketplace is the ability to list and sell owned BNS names directly to other users through a peer-to-peer marketplace.

Before listing a BNS name for sale, users must log in or create an account. New users can sign up by connecting a supported wallet such as MetaMask or Trust Wallet.

After connecting a wallet, enter a username, select an avatar, and click ‘Sign Up’ to create your account.

To list a BNS name, select the Sell option and enter the name you wish to sell. You can then set a listing price in BDX based on the value you assign to the name.

Before the listing can be published, ownership of the BNS name must be verified. As part of the verification process, a small amount of BDX will be sent to your Beldex wallet. This transaction serves as proof that you control the wallet associated with the BNS name being listed.

Once the transaction is received, enter the exact amount of BDX you received and copy the transaction hash from your Beldex wallet and submit it in the marketplace’s verification field.

Once verification is successful, you can either publish the listing immediately or save the verified name under the My BNS section and list it at a later time.

Buy BNS Names Through Secure Marketplace Trading

Buying a BNS name through the marketplace ensures that both ownership transfer and payment settlement are handled securely via automated escrow.

Users can browse available BNS name listings from the homepage or search for a specific BNS name they wish to purchase. Once a listing is selected, the process begins by clicking the ‘Buy Now’ option.

Buyers must provide ownership details that determine how the BNS name will be configured after the transfer. This includes an Owner Wallet Address and a Beldex Wallet Address to receive BDX. Users may use the same wallet for both purposes or choose separate addresses.

Buyers can also optionally provide additional details, such as a BChat ID, BelNet domain address, and ETH address, to associate the BNS name with supported services across the ecosystem.

Important:

A refund wallet address must be provided before the purchase can proceed.

If the ownership transfer is not completed within the required timeframe, the transaction will expire, and any funds held for the purchase will be automatically refunded.

Once purchase details are submitted, the seller receives a purchase request notification. After the seller accepts the request, the buyer receives payment instructions and can proceed with the payment.

However, the transaction is not finalized immediately. The BDX payment is temporarily held in escrow while the ownership transfer process is completed.

The seller is then guided through updating the values like Beldex wallet address, BChat ID, and BelNet domain address in the Beldex Electron Wallet by entering the buyer’s information and submitting the required verification on the marketplace.

Once the submitted values are updated and verified, the ownership transfer is then initiated and subsequently confirmed on completion.

After the transfer is successfully completed, the escrowed BDX is released to the seller, and ownership of the BNS name is transferred to the buyer.

At this stage, the seller will be notified that the ‘Transfer is Complete and Sold.’ On the other hand, the buyer will be notified that the ‘Purchase is Completed.’

Note:

To ensure efficient marketplace operations, the entire ownership transfer process must be completed within four hours. Any incomplete transactions will automatically expire once this timeframe has elapsed.

Register a BNS Name Directly On the BNS Marketplace

Alongside buying and selling, users can also register new BNS names directly on the BNS Marketplace.

Users can search for a preferred BNS name and check whether it is available to register. If available, they can continue with the registration by selecting a preferred ownership duration such as 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, or 10 years.

Now the user needs to enter a wallet address and optionally enter the values for private identity-linked services such as BChat ID, BelNet domain address, and ETH address.

Once the registration details are submitted, the BNS marketplace generates a payment request. Send the specified BDX amount to the address shown on the screen using the Electron Wallet to complete the payment.

Payments for new registrations must be completed within one hour, after which requests expire automatically.

After successful payment confirmation, ownership is assigned, and users can track the status of their names through the My BNS section in the BNS marketplace as well as on the Beldex Electron Wallet.

Private and Decentralized Names

BNS names are more than identifiers; they represent a user-owned digital identity that can be used across the Beldex ecosystem. As adoption grows, they are becoming an important part of how users manage identity, ownership, and interactions across Beldex services.

The BNS Marketplace simplifies participation in this ecosystem by bringing name registration, buying, selling, listing management, and escrow-protected transactions into a single platform.

Unlike traditional naming systems, where ownership and control are often dependent on centralized providers, decentralized naming allows users to own, manage, and transfer names directly without intermediaries.

With the BNS Marketplace, Beldex takes another step toward making decentralized digital identities more accessible, practical, and interconnected across its ecosystem.

These centralized domain marketplaces may feel familiar and convenient, but they come with limitations: users don’t fully own their identities, personal data is extensively collected, and the rules of the platform can change at anytime, at their discretion.

Because of these concerns, more and more users shift toward decentralized alternatives that prioritize privacy, ownership, and sovereignty.

The idea is not just about technology but about participation, ownership, and giving users authority over their digital identities.

If a digital identity represents you online, then you should fully own and control it.

Systems like the BNS Marketplace were built to change how identities online and on-chain work. It also allows for users to trade their names peer-to-peer. How? Let’s have a look.

What is the BNS Marketplace?

The BNS Marketplace is a peer-to-peer platform built on the Beldex blockchain, where users can buy, sell, and manage BNS names in a decentralized environment.

Instead of relying on platform-based usernames or accounts, users own unique blockchain-based names that function as their digital identity across the Beldex ecosystem.

What makes the BNS Marketplace stand apart is that the identity is no longer tied to a single company or a service provider. Users own their BNS name fully and completely and can freely trade them on the BNS peer-to-peer marketplace using BDX. In simple terms, the marketplace connects identity, ownership, and digital trade in a way where users remain in control.

What’s Broken in Traditional Systems?

Traditional platforms for usernames, domains, and digital identities may appear simple and accessible, but they come with several limitations.

Centralized control: One platform determines the rules, pricing structures, and even the participants. The platform has the right to modify its policies any time, and the users have no other option but to comply.

No opt-out mechanism, mandatory surveillance: Most centralized marketplaces require you to submit KYC and other personal details just register or manage a domain.

This means users need to share sensitive information about themselves just to access basic digital services. This data often sits in large databases that are vulnerable to leaks or misuse.

High fees: Transactions often involve intermediaries like brokerages that charge service or commission fees, increasing costs for both buyers and sellers.

Lack of transparency: Users rarely know how listing visibility, moderation, or policy decisions are handled because these systems operate behind closed doors.

Risk of restrictions or account freezes: A user’s access to their website can be limited without notice due to changes in the company’s policy. In such cases, users lose control over their own domains, businesses, identities, and even funds online.

How BNS Marketplace Fixes These Problems

The BNS Marketplace removes the need for centralized control by operating on the Beldex blockchain, where transactions and ownership records remain distributed, immutable, and secure.

Users do not need to rely on a company or platform to hold onto their identity. Their BNS names are owned directly by them on-chain, giving them genuine ownership that traditional systems cannot provide.

Privacy is another major advantage. Users are not required to reveal unnecessary personal information to buy or sell BNS names. At the same time, the marketplace remains simple and accessible, ensuring decentralization does not compromise usability.

Why A Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Marketplace Matters

A core feature of the BNS Marketplace is its peer-to-peer structure. This means that buyers and sellers interact directly without relying on intermediaries to approve, manage, or process transactions.

Instead of relying on a centralized platform, users trade directly with each other in a transparent manner.

Advantages of A P2P Marketplace

Lower costs

Without intermediaries or commission-based processes, buyers and sellers can trade BNS names directly with reduced transaction costs.

More privacy

Its decentralized design ensures that users aren’t required to submit their personal data to access the marketplace. Everything remains private, and only essential details pertaining to the transaction is shared.

True ownership and control

Users are not dependent on a single entity or a centralized authority that can arbitrarily change rules or restrict access on their whims. Users remain in full control of their identities, assets, and listings.

Reduced censorship

In a P2P system, no single entity has the power to block transactions or remove listings arbitrarily. This creates a more open and fair trading environment.

Global accessibility

Anyone from anywhere in the world can connect to the marketplace and participate in it. There are no entry barriers or geographic restrictions.

What Changes From Here?

The BNS Marketplace signifies a shift in how digital identities and their ownership are viewed online. Instead of depending on centralized approval systems, users interact directly with one another in a peer-to-peer ecosystem.

This completely changes the essence of a marketplace. It is no longer a place for buying and selling; it is a place where users own what they create, trade, and represent.

As more people begin prioritizing privacy, ownership, and sovereignty, platforms like the BNS Marketplace may no longer be seen as experiments but as the natural evolution of the internet.

Masternodes allow users to participate in the network

Users can easily self-host a masternode on the Beldex network, but it does require quite a bit of technical expertise, knowledge, and resources.

To overcome this, users can easily host their masternode with official hosting partner platforms like NodeHub, Higlan, Pecunia, and Pooly.ca.

Cold hosting services are offered by Nodehub, Higlan, and Pecunia, where the stake / collateral remains with the user while masternode hosting support is provided by the platform.

Shared masternode hosting services, on the other hand, require users to send their BDX to platform-managed wallets but enable users to participate without requiring the full collateral.

Running a masternode on hosting services also depends on affordability, reliability, security, and ease of access.

Let’s take a look at the Beldex shared masternode pool on Pooly.ca and how they enable small $BDX holders to participate in network validation.

Partial Collateral, Partial Commitment

The Pooly.ca shared masternode platform gives users the ability to own a share of a masternode and earn rewards proportionally, based on their commitment.

Users don’t have to pledge the entire collateral of 10000 BDX to be eligible for setting up a masternode. They can stake as little as 100 BDX. This makes participation easier for smaller holders.

Pooly.ca’s shared masternodes come with 20% fees, which is deducted from the rewards. While the 20% may seem like a big number at first glance, for running a single masternode with the full collateral of 10000 BDX, the fees only amount to 43.4 BDX (or ~$3.46), considering the current monthly rewards of approx. 217 BDX.

Calculate your monthly BDX masternode rewards here: https://beldex.io/masternode

Easy Masternode Setup on Discord

Self-hosting isn’t rocket science. If you’re good with the technical know-how, then it should be quite easy; however, if you’re someone new to blockchain or masternode hosting, setting it up would prove to be an arduous task. Luckily, on Pooly.ca, masternode setup and maintenance are completely automated. For first-time users, this makes the masternode setup process quick, easy, and simple.

No complexity. No hassle.

Hosting is also KYC-free, ensuring the privacy of your identity.

No Fee Top-Ups

In many masternode hosting platforms, users are usually required to top up the masternode fees. They have to keep topping up the account to ensure that their nodes are up and running.

Pooly.ca removes this constraint. Since the platform deducts fees automatically from accumulated rewards, users don’t need to worry about topping up their account for fees every month.

Compounding Rewards

Compounding rewards is one of the advantages of Pooly.ca’s BDX shared masternode pool. With compounding rewards, the rewards accumulated are not left idle. Instead, they are automatically added back to the pool. This means your rewards continuously contribute to increasing your overall stake and, once again, increasing the overall rewards, thereby creating a positive feedback loop. This helps you to earn more over time without manually adding additional BDX.

How to Setup A BDX Masternode in Pooly.ca

How to Access the Beldex Dashboard on Pooly.ca

Visit the mn.pooly.ca website and sign in to your account.

From the dropdown menu, select Beldex (BDX).

Click on the Dashboard option to access the Beldex dashboard.

You’ll see the following message: “Deposit funds via the Discord bot to get started.”

Click the Discord icon at the bottom-left corner to join Pooly.ca’s official Discord server.

How to Deposit BDX via Discord

Login to your Discord account and join the Pooly.ca server.

Navigate to the #Beldex channel under the Masternode section.

In the #Beldex channel, you’ll see a message prompt about the Beldex masternode pool.

Click the “Register” button and complete the registration. Make sure to use the same email address you used on Pooly.ca.

After registering, you will receive a unique deposit address (visible only to you).

Verify your account using the ‘Verify’ button. A verification PIN will be sent to your email address.

Check your DMs on Discord for a message from the verification bot. Enter the 6-digit PIN here.

Once verified, open your Beldex wallet and send BDX to your deposit address.

After making the deposit, you can track your funds anytime using the “Balance” option.

You can also watch the video guide on ‘How to Join a Shared BDX Masternode Pool Using Pooly.Ca’ here 👇.
https://medium.com/media/3dfd8cbc18dd4549d621ac5eff51cba1/href
Why Run a Beldex Masternode?

Masternodes are pivotal to blockchain networks like Beldex. They support transaction validation, route network services, and maintain overall network stability. Running a masternode also allows users to actively contribute to the ecosystem while earning BDX rewards.

Self-hosting a masternode requires technical expertise and full collateral commitment of 10000 BDX; alternatively, shared masternode pools allow greater participation by lowering the entry barrier.

Pooly.ca’s shared masternode setups enable users to participate with partial collateral, which makes masternode ownership more accessible to a broader community.

This is a flexible approach to hosting. It allows users to engage with the network, earn rewards, and gradually scale their participation without immediately committing to a full masternode.
