“The era of big fish eating small fish is over. Now, it’s the fast that beat the slow.”
— Jay Conrad Levinson

Traditional marketing is no longer reserved for brands with massive budgets.
Today, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and even individuals can make their voices heard.
How? Through guerrilla marketing.

What Is Guerrilla Marketing?

Photo by Stephen Phillips - Hostreviews.co.uk on Unsplash

Guerrilla marketing refers to unconventional marketing tactics designed to create maximum impact with minimal resources.
Instead of billboards, it uses street corners.
Instead of TV ads, it turns to short viral videos and creative social media content.

It thrives on surprise. It shocks, amuses, and engages — and most importantly, it’s remembered.

The term was coined in 1984 by Jay Conrad Levinson in his book “Guerrilla Marketing.”
His goal? To empower small businesses that couldn’t afford expensive ad campaigns.

“I began researching, but found no sources on marketing with a limited budget. I had promised my students I’d help, so I sat down and created a list of 527 marketing ideas. That’s how guerrilla marketing was born.”
— Levinson

Key Elements of Guerrilla Marketing

Creativity: The more original, the more effective.

Timing: The right move at the right moment makes all the difference.

Unexpected Locations: Capturing attention where people least expect it.

Emotional Connection: Humor, shock value, or nostalgia can create a lasting impact.

Consistency: According to Levinson, it’s not a one-time trick — it’s a long-term strategy.

Iconic Examples of Guerrilla Marketing

Photo by Daoudi Aissa on Unsplash

🔴 Red Bull — Space Jump
Red Bull streamed a live jump from 39 km above Earth.

“Büyük balık küçük balığı yutar devri kapandı. Do you have unfinished projects, focusing problems, and unproductive days in your business life? Or do you have unfinished courses, unnecessary purchases, and unused memberships in your personal life? You say, “I can’t keep up with life, I’m too sluggish, I’m tired”. But at the same time, do you come up with a new idea every day and become energized for a moment?
Maybe you may have this syndrome too.

What is Shiny Object Syndrome?

Shiny Object Syndrome (SOS) is a modern term describing the tendency to constantly chase after new and exciting opportunities, projects or ideas. Just as a crow is drawn to shiny objects, humans tend to gravitate towards anything that looks new and attractive. In fact, this theory is based on the phenomenon of a child always wanting a new toy, even if the existing toy is good. Shiny object syndrome can manifest in the workplace in various ways. It can be triggered by factors such as a new project, a promising opportunity or the latest trend.

What are the Symptoms of SOS?

1. Continuous Initiation of New Projects

Starting new projects before finishing existing ones.

Seeing every new idea as a “must-do”.

2. Inconsistent Focus

Inability to concentrate on a subject for a long time.

Frequent target switching.

3. FOMO (Fear of Missing Opportunity)

Feeling obliged to follow every new trend.

Worrying about being left behind.

Shiny Object Syndrome has become an increasingly common phenomenon in the modern world. But being aware of it and taking the necessary precautions can help us become more successful in both professional and personal life. The important thing is to learn to focus on projects that are truly worthwhile, rather than chasing after every shiny idea.

Methods of Coping with SOS

1. Prioritization

Set your goals clearly.

Create a to-do list.

Objectively assess the value of each project.

2. 48 Hour Rule

Don’t act immediately on a new idea or project.

Wait at least 48 hours and evaluate whether it is really worthwhile.

3. Systematic Approach

Evaluate each new project against specific criteria.

Consider your available resources and time.

Check whether it aligns with your long-term goals.

📊 Comprehensive SOS (Shiny Object Syndrome) Self-Assessment Test

First of all, this Test is not an officially validated test.

💫 Behavior Patterns

For each question, give yourself the most appropriate score:

1: Never 2: Rarely 3: Sometimes 4: Often 5: Always

Project and Business Management

I start a new project before I finish one ___

I postpone current projects for new opportunities ___

I leave most of the projects I start unfinished ___

I see every new business idea as a “great opportunity” ___

I try to realize more than one business idea at the same time ___

Technology and Tools

I pay for apps I don’t use ___

I want to try every new app that comes out ___

Even if my current vehicles work for me, I will look for new ones ___

I use more than one similar purpose application ___

I buy a subscription even if I don’t use premium features ___

Learning and Development

I start more than one course at the same time ___

When I learn something new, I leave the old one unfinished ___

I buy online courses on sale ___

I move on to new topics without putting the knowledge I have learned into practice ___

I jump to other topics before I fully learn a subject ___

📈 Scoring and Evaluation

Total Points Calculation

Collect points for each level:

Project and Business Management: ___/25

Technology and Tools: ___/25

Learning and Development: ___/25

Grand Total ___/75

Rating Scale

15–30 points: Low Risk

SOS symptoms are minimal.

Good ability to focus and complete projects.

31–45 points: Medium Risk

SOS symptoms are present.

Some areas need improvement.

46–60 points: High Risk

Distinctive SOS symptoms.

Urgent action is required.

61–75 points: Risk Critique

Serious SOS symptoms.

Professional support and fundamental change are required.

Most Common Scenarios and Solutions

Scenario 1: Continuous Course Purchasing

Solution Plan:

Apply a 30-day waiting rule.

Do not take a new course until you have completed 80% of the previous course.

Keep a learning diary.

Scenario 2: Multiple Project Management

Solution Plan:

Create a weekly project evaluation routine.

Evaluate each project with SMART criteria.

Apply a maximum of 3 active project rules.

Scenario 3: Technology Addiction

Solution Plan:

Conduct a monthly subscription audit.

To try out a new tool, follow the ‘subtract one, add one’ rule.

Set a weekly digital detox day.

🎥 Comprehensive Video Content Guide

1.

Building A Profitable YouTube Channel! (You must look this… !)🍇

Hello Everyone!

I haven’t written anything for a long time. Now I have prepared a short summary for you, it will definitely be useful to you!

The main problem was, I had no idea how to create a successful channel!

Photo by Szabo Viktor on Unsplash

1️⃣ Step 1: Stop Chasing Views & Subscribers

You don’t need a massive following to build a profitable YouTube-based business. What you need is a targeted audience and a great product or service to offer them.

Attracting right audience, You can drive a lot of sales to your business.

Quality Of Views > Quantity Of Views

2️⃣ Step 2: Become A Specialist

If you compete against all the other channels in your niche it’s going to take ages to get results. That is why you need to become a specialist, not a generalist.

Let’s just say you have a productivity YouTube channel and you don’t specialize in anything.

It means your channel is competing against all the other productivity channels who have been making content for years. The only way you can make yourself different is on price — so you end up creating cheap courses or coaching.

This is the worst way to build a business on YouTube because it becomes a race to the bottom.

you need to specialise. There are two steps to do this:

Step 2.A: Find your general niche Follow the 4 P’s framework to find your general niche:

• Passion: What topics excite you? What could you talk about for hours?

• Proficiency: What are you skilled at? Where does your expertise lie?

• Perspective: What unique angle or approach can you bring to the topic?

• Profit: Is there a market demand? Can you monetize this niche?

Step 2.B: Find your sub-niche

Now that you have your general niche, you need to specialise. Think to yourself:

What specific group of people can I help the most?

For example:

• Productivity → Time management techniques for remote workers

• Fitness → Home workouts for busy moms with young children

• Consulting → Business strategy consulting for sustainable start-ups

• Real Estate → Investing in rental properties in emerging markets

3️⃣ Step 3: Pick A Problem

You need to know your ideal viewer and their biggest problem before you start creating videos.

One of the biggest mistakes new YouTubers make is spending time, money, and energy creating content for the wrong audience — people who will never buy their product or service!

Here’s how to avoid this:

Step 3.A: Define your ideal viewer

Step 3.B: Identify one major pain point they have.

Such as: Fitness:

• Ideal Viewer: Middle-aged men looking to get fit

• One Problem: Limited time for workouts due to busy lifestyles

Do this yourself. Then fill in the blanks below to complete your channel vision.

I help [ideal viewer] transition from [pain point] to [pleasure point] by providing [solution].

4️⃣ Step 4: Commit To The Magic Formula

To be successful on YouTube, you just need to follow this magic formula: Post x1 video per week for 52 weeks

Is this simple? Yes.

Is this easy? No.

YouTube is a long game.

First, you need to learn how to create amazing videos. Second, you need to build trust with your audience.

By committing to 1 video per week for a year, you build your personal brand, and stay top-ofmind with your audience. This regularity turns casual viewers into customers.

Don’t worry, later on I’ll share A system for getting all of this done with just 3–4 hours of work per month.

But first, you need to commit to the magic formula: 1 video per week for 52 weeks.

P.S : Posting consistently was the #1 secret to getting 1 million subscribers.

5️⃣ Step 5: Setup Your Studio

There’s a quality bar that your videos need to meet to be taken seriously by viewers.

Look at the two images below. Who would you trust more?

I hope the answer is obvious! Just get these three things right and you’ll have an excellent YouTube setup:

1. Camera: Place this in front of you at eye level.

2. Lighting: Buy a ‘key light’ and position it at a 45-degree angle to you.

3. Audio: Never use the inbuilt mic on your camera! Invest in a decent external microphone and put it a few inches from your mouth.

That being said, while equipment is important, content is king.

It’s better to start creating with basic equipment than to delay launching your channel while waiting for the perfect setup. As your channel grows, you can gradually upgrade your equipment.

6️⃣ Step 6: Create Amazing Videos

To create a successful YouTube channel that drives business growth, you need to master three critical elements: Click, Watch, and Retain.

• Click: Your video must grab attention with a compelling idea, a catchy title, and an eye-catching thumbnail.

• Watch: Keep viewers engaged with a well-structured script and professional editing that holds interest throughout the video.

• Retain: Offer real value by addressing your audience’s problems and consistently delivering high-quality, helpful content that builds trust.

These are the only three elements you need to focus on to create videos that not only generate views, but also drive leads — master these, and the rest will follow.

What’s key here is that the majority of these views were targeted, showing how powerful this approach can be when your audience is aligned with your content.

However, there is one issue…

Mastering the YouTube fundamentals takes time.

Many creators spend years learning through trial and error, refining their skills in ideation, scripting, filming, editing, and audience engagement.

7️⃣ Step 7: Script Properly

After making quite literally 1000s of videos — this is the best script writing formula to offer value to your audience, establish credibility and convert them into customers.

• Hook: Start with an attention-grabbing statement or fact. The goal is to make viewers curious and want to keep watching.

• Problem: Clearly articulate the main pain point or challenge your ideal viewer is facing.

• Solution: Offer a clear, actionable solution to the problem. Break this down into 5 or 7 points. Over deliver on value here; that is how you build trust.

• Credibility: Briefly share how you’ve personally overcome this problem or helped others do so.

• Call To Action: Guide viewers towards the next step. This could be inviting them to a free consultation, offering a downloa , or introducing your paid services.

8️⃣ Step 8: Sell Your Offer

Once you’ve mastered creating amazing YouTube videos, it’s time to use them to start selling your offer.

Whether you already have a product or service to sell, or you’re starting from scratch, the fundamental rule remains the same:

People don’t buy products or services, they buy results.

Your offer needs to provide a specific result for your target audience. To create a great offer, revisit your channel vision:

I help [target avatar] transition from [pain point] to [positive outcome] by providing [solution].

This is exactly what your offer needs to achieve. The delivery method can vary, but the core purpose should align with this statement.

Example:

For most people, I recommend starting with 1-on-1 coaching. Here is why:

1. It helps you deeply understand your target audience

2. It requires minimal setup and can be launched quickly

3. It allows for higher pricing due to the personalized nature of the service

Long term, you can transition to creating a digital product (like an online course) once you’ve gathered sufficient insights from your 1-on-1 clients.

The most important thing to remember is this: Your offer should provide the transformation promised in your channel vision.

9️⃣ Step 9: Develop a System to Make Videos Fast

Once you start getting clients and your channel makes money, you can begin to outsource.

As a business owner, entrepreneur or expert, your time is precious. While making videos yourself is manageable at first, you need to start outsourcing tasks as soon as possible to optimize your workflow.

Here’s how to streamline video production in order of what you should outsource first to last:

• Video Editing: Outsource this task to free up 60% of your time. Professional editors can handle this efficiently, allowing you to focus on other aspects of your business.

• Thumbnail Design: Delegate thumbnail creation to a designer. With the rise of platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Etsy, alongside the burgeoning fields of affiliate marketing and e-commerce through Shopify, the digital landscape is ripe for the taking. This surge in online business possibilities not only democratizes the entrepreneurial journey but also opens up a myriad of avenues for individuals to augment their income from the comfort of their homes. The significance of tapping into these online revenue streams cannot be overstated, especially as traditional job markets continue to evolve.

As we delve deeper into the article, we will explore why 2024 stands out as an opportune year to launch your online business, underscore effective online income streams that have the potential to yield significant returns, and guide you through the initial steps to get your online venture off the ground. Additionally, we will discuss strategies to ensure long-term success in your digital endeavors, helping you to not just make money online but to build sustainable income sources. This guide is designed to arm you with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the dynamic digital marketplace, making your foray into online business both profitable and fulfilling.

Why 2024 is the Year to Start an Online Business

Technological advancements have significantly lowered the barriers to entering the online business arena. The integration of generative AI and other digital tools has streamlined operations from customer service to product development, making 2024 an ideal year to launch an online venture.

The shift towards remote work environments continues to influence business operations, with more individuals and companies embracing flexible work arrangements. This change is supported by a variety of tools that enhance communication and security for remote teams, making online business management more feasible than ever.

Additionally, the financial landscape in 2024 is ripe with opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs. Various government programs and financial incentives are available to support new online businesses, helping to mitigate initial costs and encourage growth in this digital age.

Effective Online Income Streams

In the digital landscape of 2024, several effective online income streams offer substantial opportunities for entrepreneurs. Here’s a closer look at some promising areas:

Affiliate Marketing and Partnerships

Affiliate marketing remains a robust avenue for earning online. By partnering with brands and promoting their products, individuals can earn commissions on sales generated through their unique affiliate links. The success in this field hinges on choosing the right partners and diversifying one’s portfolio within specific niches, such as pet products or tech gadgets, to mitigate risks associated with single brands.

Dropshipping and E-commerce

Dropshipping is an appealing model for those looking to enter e-commerce without the need for inventory management. Entrepreneurs can start with minimal upfront investment, selecting suppliers who handle all shipping and fulfillment processes. This model is particularly effective for niche products like clothing, beauty items, or home decor, where there’s consistent consumer demand.

Content Creation and Monetization

Content creators can leverage platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok to build audiences and monetize their content through ads, sponsorships, and affiliate marketing. The key to success is creating compelling content that resonates with an audience, thereby maximizing the potential for monetization. Additionally, creators can explore selling digital products or gated content to enhance their income streams.

Consultation and Freelance Services

Professionals with expertise in specific fields can offer their services on a freelance basis, utilizing platforms like Upwork and Fiverr to connect with potential clients. Whether it’s writing, graphic design, or digital marketing, freelancers can build a client base by showcasing their skills and delivering high-quality work that exceeds client expectations.

These diverse online income streams not only provide avenues for financial growth but also allow for flexible working environments, making them ideal for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to make a mark in 2024.

Steps to Launch Your Online Business

Identifying Your Niche: To successfully launch an online business, identifying a niche that aligns with your passions and skills is crucial. Consider factors like market demand, your expertise, and unique characteristics that distinguish the niche. This strategic focus not only enhances brand loyalty but also reduces marketing costs by targeting a specific audience.

Creating a Business Plan: A comprehensive business plan is essential as it acts as a roadmap, detailing your business goals, strategies, and financial projections. This document is vital for attracting investors and providing direction during the early stages of your business. It should include market analysis, a description of your business, and a clear outline of your sales and marketing strategies.

Developing an Online Presence: Establishing a robust online presence is non-negotiable in today’s digital world. This involves building a professional website that is easy to navigate and creating content that engages your target audience. Additionally, leveraging SEO and maintaining active social media profiles are crucial for enhancing visibility and building customer relationships.

Ensuring Long-Term Success

Scaling Your Business

To ensure the long-term success of an ecommerce business, it’s crucial to think ahead and plan for scalability from the beginning. Establishing a robust foundation that supports growth involves choosing scalable strategies and technologies like advanced ecommerce platforms. Regular evaluations of your business model, inventory management, and digital marketing strategies are essential to adapt and scale effectively. Additionally, optimizing logistics and order fulfillment strategies can significantly enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Adapting to Market Trends

Staying relevant in the ever-evolving market requires a proactive approach to adapting to trends. Digital agencies need to continuously learn and integrate new technologies and platforms to maintain competitiveness and support client growth. Understanding and leveraging current market trends enable the creation of innovative marketing strategies that not only meet but anticipate the needs of consumers, ensuring sustained business growth and a strong market position.

Engaging with Your Audience

Engagement with your audience is key to maintaining and expanding your customer base. Effective strategies include personalized content delivery, utilizing social media for interactive communication, and aligning content strategies to the interests and needs of your target audience. Building strong relationships through consistent engagement on various platforms can lead to increased brand loyalty and a more robust online presence. Additionally, leveraging influencer partnerships and user-generated content can significantly boost engagement and reach.

Click Here to Online Business Club

Conclusion

Throughout this exploration, we have navigated the fertile terrain of online enterprises set to flourish in 2024, from tapping into the potent avenues of affiliate marketing and e-commerce to leveraging the boundless possibilities of content creation.
