Who do you think you are?

Trying to take away my pain

Trying to take away my disdain

Who do you think you are?

Shouting my name in the rain

Just because you want to see me again

Why are you here in my life?

Trying to make it a better place

Who gave you the right?

To make yourself someone I can’t bear to replace

I demand you to leave

Leave forever and never return

You made me love and made me grieve

You taught me something I never thought I needed to learn

How dare you turn my life upside down?

How dare you make me smile when all I want to do is frown?

You made me want to live and stick around

I never thought my lost soul would be found

So I guess I’ll let you stay

I’ll hold your hand and let you lead the way

Because I’ve come to love you more than I did yesterday

It’s terrifying how readily I’ll be the prey

If you are the hunter, I know I’ll be okay

I love that you’ll love me today

Till tomorrow’s night and day

Everyday

You are here to stay

I’ve accepted you as my fate

I wish I could read your mind

And see if you think of me all the time

I pray that that is the case

I pray that your thoughts circle around my face

I wish I could see you behind the screen

Are you smiling and giggling as you text me?

Or do you simply just not care?

I wish I could know, this isn’t fair

I wish you could see this poem and know it’s a secret letter

From me to you, but I know better

You probably will just swipe away

You won’t know everything I’ve been meaning to say

I wish I could see if you want to be mine

All my friends act like liking you is a crime

They say I’m too good for you but I don’t want to move on

You’re the one in my mind when I listen to love songs

I wish that you would want me too

People try to convince me of this fact but I don’t think it’s true

I pray that it is though because in my mind you’re perfect

Everyone asks, “Is he really worth it?”

Are you worth the time I spend chasing you around?

I look for you in every corner of town

Even when I know I won’t find you there

These unreciprocated feelings just aren’t fair

I wish that you’re texting your friends for tips

Asking them what to say, I wish that you’re dreaming of my lips

I wish that you would think of me

Every morning when you wake up and every night when you fall asleep

I wish that you would see me in your dreams

I wish that you could answer my silent please

I wish that I could be held in your embrace

I wish that I could touch and kiss your face

I wish that I could be yours

I wish that I could be the one that you adore

I wish I could read your mind

Because I think of you all the time.
