I just merged (my own) pull request swapping out the Go-based backend with a replacement written in Rust in SilverBullet. Similarly, a few months earlier I replaced the frontend build process that used to run through Deno to Node.js.
After well over a decade of not giving talks, I decided I should “get out there” again, to share the SilverBullet gospel. I decided to start out (relatively) small with a talk on a local free software conference called PIWO. The talk was recorded (even live streamed). You can jump to this location in the live stream to watch it. I think a cleaned up version of the video will be posted later. My demo didn’t go exactly flawless (more on this later), but I think overall it was successful. People seemed to like it.
Welcome to No SilverBullet, a new blog/newsletter about the SilverBullet ecosystem (both the self-hosted SilverBullet.md and SilverBullet+ desktop edition, and other associated services). If you are an active or prospecting SilverBullet user, or just enjoy Zef’s quirky writing (e.g. from alt.management) this may just be the site for you.
