someone i know drew their fursona wearing what looked like a hazmat suit, which got me thinking about what pebble would look like wearing that ,, as i started putting it together i thought the look wouldn't be complete without a tool / gun of some sort, so she got a fun looking thingamajig complete with an extra lever to operate it with its big ahh hooves. the idea is that it's like a flamethrower, except it just spreads tf goo everywhere. also, a lot of the design is inspired by a cut half life 2 enemy, if it looks familiar

i've been hanging out with a group of local furries who all happen to be very fond of pooltoys, and it turns out i'm not immune to pooltoy propaganda..

also honestly i could swear i drew myself as a pooltoy recently, when i realized that it's been a few years i knew it was time

.. i whipped up a quick model in blender using stretched out spheres and a bezier curve for the tail to help with figuring out the lighting on this. i saw frengers using this method and i'm a big fan of the "fake it till you make it" approach, so i thought i'd give it a try! it worked out really well i think

auri! though she goes by dust these days. she's my original fursona who later became an oc - i last drew her 6 years ago! i thought it'd be fun to bring her back and imagine how she'd have changed during those 6 years.

i've also been wanting to try fully painting a background instead of just parts of it, it was honestly very fun! i decided to not use my cloud "cheat" brush this time, it took like 6 tries to get the clouds to look how i wanted them to but it was worth it :3

the colours and lighting are inspired by wuffe's work, their stuff has been inspiring me for ages

a drawing for a setting i'm working on

early on i used to draw a lot of scenes like this, i really enjoyed doing it but over time i moved away from it, i think mostly because drawings like this take way longer to make.. i'd like to try to make more stuff like this

working on this also showed me that i need to like, learn the fundamentals of colors and contrast better, it was a struggle to figure out how to color this even with a thumbnail and i feel like i could've done a lot better - still very happy with the result though :3

also i've been sitting on this for a few weeks, i thought about separating my work on this project from my other stuff by posting it elsewhere but ehhh.... it's too much work
