covering fashion from A to Z
by Wonne Scrayen [belgium.1998]
As a critical fashion [re]curator, I explore
— through embodied language — the possibility of a counterbalance to fashion’s normative, mostly visual, blueprint. An alternative that moves away from the industrialised fashion system and instead puts forward the embodied experience. With a prolific focus on the multisensorial dimension of fashion.
An MA in Art History [UGhent] followed by an MA in Critical Fashion Practices [ArtEZ] granted me the time and space to [re]consider the notion of fashion from A to Z.
From Archives, Copywriting, Editorials and Fiction
to Interviews, Museums, Poetry, and Storytelling.
prActiZe houses the different alliterated projects that form
the body of my work, either independently or collaboratively.
Additionally, I also lend my pen to other platforms, outlets, and creatives who dare to take a critical stance and resist immediacy. Through these lenses, I voice an alternative narrative, unlike traditional fashion coverage as we know it.
