We use the highest U.S. Prime Rate listed in the online The Wall Street Journal (www.wsj.com) on the last business day of the month. For the purchase APR, we add from 9.74% to 18.74% to the Prime Rate based on your creditworthiness. When we evaluate your creditworthiness, we consider your credit report, all the information you provided and other information. Customers with the best credit profiles receive the lowest rates. Some customers may receive higher rates and may be offered an account with different rates or terms, including no introductory rates but the same cash back rewards offer. For the cash advance APR, we add 21.74% to the Prime Rate. Your variable APRs will never be less than zero or higher than 29.99%.

This offer applies to balance transfers that post to your account by 10/10/2026. An account must be open for 14 days before Discover can begin processing your balance transfer request. After that, most transfers are processed within 4 days. You may cancel a balance transfer at any time prior to that by calling 1-800-347-3085. Continue to make all required payments to your other accounts until you confirm that the balance transfers were made. Balance transfers may not be used to pay the balance of a Discover or Capital One account. Balance transfers do not earn rewards. You may transfer any amount, up to your credit available for transfers, which may be less than your total credit line. If your balance transfer request will exceed your available credit, we will process your transfers for less than the amount requested, in the order requested. You may only make balance transfers to accounts that list you as an account holder. The minimum payment requirement can cause promotional balances to be paid in full prior to the end of the promotional period. There is no grace period on your balance transfers. If you take advantage of this balance transfer offer, you will be charged interest on purchases unless your purchase APR is at a promotional 0% APR. To avoid interest on new purchases after you transfer a balance, you must pay all balances on your account, including any balances you transfer under this offer, in full by the first payment due date. See your Cardmember Agreement for details. Your account may not always be eligible for balance transfers.
We apply payments and credits at our discretion, including in a manner most favorable or convenient for us. Each billing period, we will generally apply amounts you pay that exceed the minimum payment due to balances with higher APRs before balances with lower APRs as of the date we credit your payment.

Effective January 15, 2027

Some of the above Account Terms will be amended as described below, effective January 15, 2027 (the “Effective Date”). We will also be sending you new Account Terms, Customer Agreement and Rewards Programs Terms & Conditions after the Effective Date.

  • Minimum Payment Calculation: If your balance is less than $35, your minimum payment will be equal to your balance. Otherwise, your minimum payment will be the greater of:
    • $35; or
    • 2% of your balance; or
    • 1% of your balance plus new interest and late payment fees.

We will also add any past due amount to your minimum payment. If your Account charges off, the entire balance is due immediately.

  • Variable Rate Calculation: We will begin using a new day of the month to measure the value of the Prime Rate for your Account. Specifically, we will begin calculating your variable rates by adding the previously disclosed percentage to the Prime Rate published in The Wall Street Journal on the 25th day of each month. If the Journal is not published on that day, then we will use the immediately preceding edition. Any changes in the Prime Rate will take effect on the first day of your Billing Cycle which begins in the next month. We’re just changing the day of the month that we read the Prime Rate and how quickly rate updates are reflected on your Account.
  • Payment Due Date: If your payment due date falls between the 15th-19th or 23rd-26th, your payment due date will change as of the Effective Date. These changes to your Account will be reflected on your first statement from Capital One.
  • Billing Cycle End Date: In addition, the last day of your billing cycle (“Cycle Closing Date”) will occur 25 days before your payment due date each month. As a result, the Cycle Closing Date could move by up to 3 days from month to month because the number of days in each month varies, but your payment due date will be the same day each month.
  • Changes to the Arbitration Agreement: After the Effective Date, you will receive your new Capital One Customer Agreement which includes an update to the existing agreement to arbitrate. Please refer to the Customer Agreement for instructions on how you may reject the agreement to arbitrate.
  • Rewards as Payment: Effective starting January 14, 2027 at 5:00 p.m. ET, you will no longer be able to use your rewards to meet your minimum payment obligations. Redeeming your rewards as a statement credit will lower your Account balance, but any credit will not count toward your minimum monthly payment obligation. You will still be required to make your minimum monthly payment.
  • Rewards at Account Closure: Your rewards still will not expire for the life of the Account, but rewards balances will no longer be automatically credited to your Account or sent to you via check if your Account is closed.
  • Automatic Statement Credit Redemption: In certain circumstances after enrollment, your rewards may not be auto redeemed. For example, if the rewards balance is insufficient or due to the statement cycle date.
  • Credit Score and Discover Identity Alerts: If you are enrolled in free Discover Identity Alerts, please note they will be discontinued as early as December 1, 2026 and they will be fully deactivated by the Effective Date. There will also be changes to how you access your FICO® credit score. When your Account is ready to be managed with Capital One, you will need to enroll in CreditWise in order to get access to your FICO 8 Score online and on your card statement. CreditWise from Capital One is a free credit monitoring tool that offers FICO® Score 8 updates, access to your TransUnion credit report, dark web monitoring and more. You can enroll in CreditWise any time in the Capital One app or at https://www.capitalone.com/creditwise/. Cardmembers who are enrolled in the paid Discover Identity Theft Protection product will not need to enroll in CreditWise to see their FICO 8 Score online through CreditWise and on their card statement.  Discover Identity Theft Protection members may enroll in CreditWise at any time to receive full access to all the CreditWise features.   We will be sharing more information about the paid Discover Identity Theft Protection product to enrolled members in a separate communication.
  • Explanation of Interest Charge Calculation: We are changing the way we describe how we calculate the balance used in your interest charge calculation. The two calculation descriptions are mathematically equivalent. This change is being made for clarity only and will not result in a higher interest charge.
  • Minimum Interest Charge: The Minimum Interest Charge will be removed from your Account Terms.
  • Changes to Your Account Balance Descriptions on Your Periodic Statement: You may see changes to how your Account balances appear on future periodic statements. These changes will not result in changes to the rates currently applicable to your existing Account balances.
  • Consent to be Contacted: Any consent you provided to receive automated and pre-recorded/artificial calls, including text messages, relating to your relationship with Capital One will apply to this Account. We may use the phone number(s) on file with Capital One for your Account. You may manage this and other information by logging in to your Capital One Account.
